Correct.
My fav in MP is Cerberus. Easiest to beat in solo mode.
... maybe (Geth with a Kroguard is easier - unless Platinum) but it's the faction most likely to result in "Mission Scrubbed" when PuGin' weirdly (in my experience) ... unless it's Dagger ... man, I got so very, very bored of Dagger/Cerberus/Gold coming up when looking for U/U/G. That would normally result in insta-quit when dropped into a GiP.
They're not extremely difficult, probably the easiest faction with the right kit, but for me they're just absolutely no fun whatsoever.
For pure fun factor I'd go:
Collectors
Reapers (except Banshee screams and the odd dodgy, lag-induced Banshee synch-kill; have been grabbed mid biotic charge before)
Geth
WFOP
BSOD
Cerberus
... anyway ... back to the topic at hand ...
Banshees are about the only Reaper unit that provides a challenge (unless you've been in a modded lobby with rapid-fire, 20+ Swarmer-dropping Ravagers) but they do so in a way that's actually pretty cheap (synch-kills are cheap). The fact that the rest of the faction is so innocuous sort of makes it worse - it's like they had to super-charge the Banshees to add some challenge and they did that with teleport > synch-kill... and that seems basically designed to just trash melee kits ... or to make life harder for tanky kits that don't have dodge. Asari, Drell, Vorcha or in fact any kit with dodge can normally get out of the way without any problems.
Then there's the stairs issue. Ah hah Banshee, your grab cannot thwart me now - I have STAIRS! Iffy design there.
The hand of denial is pretty pointless too... basically just turns her into a temporary bullet sponge you have to whittle away at. It comes to something when the best tactic vs a unit is to leave them until last and deplete the spawn budget.
I get that the Reapers need a cover-buster unit and that's part of the Banshees role; but I think I'd prefer it if they had say (lifting) Shockwave combined with Warp. If you're hiding behind cover to regen shields and you get hit with the Shockwave then it's up, up and away followed by a Warp for a Biotic explosion. If instead of a synch-kill at the end of the jump they had a melee that drained your shields/health to regen their own. I dunno, I'm not sure these would be a tonne better ... but it would be more interesting than yet another anti-melee/tank, synch-kill attack at least.
In short - I don't find the scream terrifying, just annoying. And I don't like synch-kills, they're cheap - even cheaper when combined with a teleport that can go through walls.
