A space pet for my ship cabin (like the hamster, but not exactly a hamster, that was Shepard's pet. Maybe a Squirrel, Chinchilla or a speaking bird).
Also, if we get pets, I'd like them to be a bit more than aesthetics. They're kinda pointless in ME 2 and 3. Like, nothing to do with them.

I disagree. Every single theme and content is very vital for the enjoyment in ME.
No aliens or alien species from the mass effect trilogy you don't want to see the same thing again and it will ruin the new beginning and story for mass effect andromeda I want see new aliens and cultures religions
Might as well call it a whole new IP if you want nothing from the original trilogy.
The availability of thermal clips (or other ammo) being tied to realistic probability rather than being conveniently available in the most obtuse places.
"Oh, here's some thermal clips perfectly suited for your human-manufactured rifle laying about this thousand year old alien temple"
Also, it would be nice if your character ventured into missions with an appropriate amount of firepower for the task.
While obv not for ammo but other supplies, in ME1 they sort of got around this with Saren/Geth always being one step ahead and leaving supply points around, which made more sense, though with a little bit of what you mention too. I'd rather manage weapons and heat sinks, a la ME1 than manage ammo like the subsequent titles. It was a bit disappointing that a new way of handling weapon management (no ammo, all cool downs) was abandoned so quickly.

I wish I could have an alien parrot like creature with crazy colors and speaking nonsense in our language from time to time when you have a conversation in our room.
