Pretty much title. I couldnt find a thread that just explains what happen in the dlc so I just made one for myself.(I was very confused :P)

but my question are

1.What was the Titan?

Was it the Rock Wraith Boss? Was it just the Lowest area?

2.Dwarves can hear the song of stone??

Like the song of the calling?!

3. Lyrium is alive?

I dont even understand lol

4. Dwarven Magic?!?!?!11//!/!111199%%

Did she just do it?

5.Ancient Dwarvf magic sacrifice?

From the notes it seems the shy-bratol dwarvfs were doing a magic ritual? yes??

1 The Rock Wraith was" part" of the Titan , but only a Guardian.

It's hard to define a Titan , they are part of the Stone , like huuuge thing , lyrium is their blood , and they shape the stone....make mountains etc.....

Try to imagine a huge golem living underground , it's so big you can walk inside of it and you don't really know where it begins and where it ends.

2 Yeah dwarves hear a song.

But it's not the Calling , if they heard the Calling they would start digging for old Gods like the darkspawn.

They hear songs from Titans .

3 Well Lyrium is "alive" because it's blood and it's linked to a living organism...but same way your blood is "alive" .

4 Dwarven Magic.

I think Dwarven magic is not the same magic human mage use for example.Valta throw something like a blast at the Inquisitor's face. It's probably more like some "force" magic .

And yeah Valta did it , but you'd need a dwarf who got chosen by a Titan....and probably a dwarf who still got some stone sense.

5 The Shar Something were drinking lyrium directly from the Titan ,(gaining immortality ) they also seal their armor with lyrium.

Valta think they have a tower for worship and an hidden thaig somewhere.

I don't remember them doing any ritual ...but it's possible things didn't end up so well for Valta , they were curious about her , they wanted her to get sealed in an armor , and later well someone hear a cry and the entrance into the Titan is lost.

They might have cut her into little pieces to figure out why she was Chosen and not them.^^

Those guys weren't exactly friendly.

Titans are basically like semi sentient tectonic plates. Do not imagine them to be humanoid.

Im go head and guess that the Titan is suspose to be the equivalent of a god to the dwarfs?(If so I wonder why they forgot about the Titan)

also I might have miss read the ritual thing but it was from the pages from pre-blight dwarf and his father.

Yes the Titans are some kind of godlike entities.

After you're done with the DLC , you get some codices , letters from Valta .She's "talking" with the Titan , and it seems something bad happened and broke the bond between Titans and dwarves.

There's an explanation why the dwarves would erase the Titans from the memories .The dwarves are living off their blood...they sell their "Gods" blood to surfacers.

Orzammar can't afford the religious dilemma , if they stop the lyrium trade , they will die.

That's my theory anyway for current dwarves.

And the ritual you're talking about is something else , not related to Titans. It's about a forgotten war in the Deep Road with the Scaled Ones. http://forum.bioware...scent-spoilers/

Decent: an adjective
1) conforming with generally accepted standards of respectable or moral behavior.
2) of an acceptable standard; satisfactory.

Hope that explains it.

It freaked me out when I first played because bloody hell!

One - the deeper you went into the Deep Roads, the less Darkspawns you came across to the point you came across none! Does that mean there is only so far Darkspawn will go down? Does that mean the Archdemons are more likely to be on higher surfaces rather than the lower ones?

For that matter - why don't the Darkspawn go down any further? Was the titan keeping them out?

Now remember what Bianca said - Lyrium is alive, which how they became blighted and thus created red lyrium. Now - we find out that Lyrium is essentially Titan's blood - does that mean there is a chance a titan had been infected with the blight and thus is the reason it's spreading? - remember in II - Bartrand says that the thaig they discovered was one from long before and you found the idol there - good chance we were probably near a titan and didn't know it - considering the fact that Bartrand, Varric and Bodahn had lost their sense so they wouldn't have heard the calling - yet...Sandal walked off!

Maybe there was something calling to Sandal since he is different from the other dwarves.

And the stone sings to them - it could have been the titan trying to call Bartrand (rather than the blight) and ended up affecting Meredith in an entirely different way (Hell - it could have been affecting the lyrium she takes, which drove her even more batty)

Then remember - Mages and Templars drink Lyrium - they are, for all intent and purpose, are actually drinking 'blood', We just saw what that does to dwarves - it made them strong, live longer (not immortal since you can kill them) and seal their armour on them.

Who knows what the heck it is doing to humans/elves. Dwarves can probably get away with drinking lyrium since they are actually part of the Titans (living underground) but it sure as heck explains a lot why Templars can grow mad during withdrawal, the loss of memories and slowly stop functioning (and this is actually making me worry a little about Cullen now).

When it comes down to it - Titans are still around yet have been struck completely from the records (seriously - what the heck is it with the orders and striking things from records - it's bad enough the elves barely know anything of their history, the Chantry is changing things to fit their vision, we don't need dwarves doing the same bleeding things!)

Finding out that Lyrium is actually the titan's blood will send shock waves everywhere (and it better become a plot in a future game, don't give me this information and have nothing come from it).

The fact that Valtar seemed to be able to use magic now gives you an indication of Sandal's prophecy back in II - it could have been that Dwarves used to use magic but since they became cut off from the Titans - they lost that ability. This could cause some problems in the future and I don't like how she seemed to have unburied her friend's body and that screams were heard underground - just please tell me that she didn't bring him back to life and bound him in some way, I really do not want to have to fight him.

And of course - there is that Codex in the Fade where it's about the red Lyrium. I had originally put it down to being the Elven gods being pissed off but what if it was about the Titans since Lyrium is their blood and it becoming tainted could have made them angry?

(Damn it Bioware - start giving answers before you add more questions!"

I wrote a thread on this which was ironically called The Descent Explained (Major Spoilers). I'm guessing you missed it while you were looking for explanations. It got lost in the shuffle pretty quick. Here's a link if you're interested
