I have been gaming on my laptop for years, but unfortunately the old girl is starting to show her age. I want to upgrade to a modern gaming pc, but im largely ignorant of the specs, plus other features, that are required to enjoy pc games to their fullest. I largely play games on Steam, Origin, and I also use World of Warcraft, so any PC that can run those without any issues would be ideal.

Does anyone have any advice?

Oh, and I live in England.

Build your own. I did and it's one of the best things I've ever done

And I would build my own pc, but I have no idea where or how to start.

Self-built

There's a few spec differences but building it on your own is much cheaper. Keep in mind, I'm assuming you're typing from a PC. So this doesn't include a monitor and peripherals like mouse, keyboard, speakers/headphones, etc.

As someone who recently assembled their first rig a couple of months back, it really isn't all that difficult after watching some yt vids and doing a little research on what parts to get. This is definitely the most potent rig I've ever had relative to the era I've first gotten it,and it turned out pretty damn affordable to boot(partly due to cannibalizing some parts from the previous rig like the blu-ray drive,HDD and RAM).
