No thanks. The reason is that I want to be another character in the world when I play and not some kind of god who changes her friends and rivals faces as she pleases. I mean the whole idea is bit weird and creepy to me, though I understand that some might like it and of course there is companion mods that alter looks always around as well so it's not something people aren't already doing.

I prefer set character, it would break immersion for me if I can alter the companion's appearance. It works in game like Skyrim because it's an open world and companions don't have any personality. Most of the time, it feels like random NPC that happens to follow you. ME has indept backstory, personality, and such for the companions.

Why.
That's not a question, I don't care for the answer.

No. and tbh I don't even like telling them what armor to wear. Like hear Wrex put on this pink armor...

But you are a god in mass effect123 think about it so whats going to be different
Well more like hero. The difference would be that the characters wouldn't feel like their own persons, they would be more close to your play-toys. That's my view on it at least.

I agree.
It would also mess with whatever the writers came up for the NPCs. Imagine if one squadmate is blonde and a bit ditzy and people make jokes about her all the time... and then you change her hair color and suddendly the jokes make no more sense.
I'm sure there are serious examples, too... I just can't be bothered to think about it right now.

Nah. A character's physical look is part of their whole essence. The devs go with a particular look for a reason.
I'd think that if the characters had no set appearance, they simply couldn't become iconic, in the way Garrus or Mordin or Tali are recognised by the fanbase.

I think like the above posters i fall firmly in the 'no' camp. Think about the jokes made about James' muscles, or Varric's nicknames for other companions in DA. To have it you'd have to never have any dialogue where their looks are mentioned. Plus, like other people have said, them having a set appearance part of the whole package - it makes them fuller characters. They aren't meant to be blank slates.

Absolutely no. I want them to be just the way BW decides to make them.

I love mass effect trilogy but we need new not old for mass effect andromeda
Even if that's true, that doesn't make this bad idea look any better.

Sorry, but no. It would take away immersion, like others said. If characters' looks change, I want it on there own. Like Garrus's scarred face, or Tali's armor from ME-ME3.

I just want Bio to spend some time figuring out how to give our Fire Team and the PC.... proper hair.

Practically, it won't happen, because for Bioware to do it they'd need to have character creators for the faces of all (playable, NPC) aliens in the game, and that's a huge resource sink.

I don't want to change how they look. Aside from customizing their armor.

No thanks. I feel bad enough dictating what my teammates should wear.

Strictly speaking, this seems like the oldest of the old ideas... and one best forgotten, if you ask me.
Customized parties were something that CRPGs did before characters were actual characters and before the games had actual stories.
