I don't think you need four people to break some pots, so what's wrong with going ahead killing stuff allowing you to break pots more effortlessly in the next area? As for not entering the treasure room, maybe they think it will be faster to teleport you to the next zone than running all the way back.
So who is the worse leecher the exp leecher or the gold leecher?

'Ah yes', says the I don't need any stinking gold person, I can admire my 1,000,000 gp challenges and bask in the thought I leeched it all, broke 3 pots in my career and got 5 chests when the game 1st came out.

I... Have only met this fiend but once..
Last night an Archer stood in the encampment of the 3rd area. We were hammered to death, going down twice before we were able to clear out the area. (Well me & the mage did, thank god for two handed warriors)..
This slime may have been having his din din, or left for the loo.. But I know I that I hated him for not honorably dying and allowing another to take his place.

Ooo, sometimes I do that.
Well, allow someone ahead to teleport me to the room cause I'm too lazy to run all the way.
But I do break pots and ravage treasure rooms!
