How about that RWBY thread? Over a third of a million views I brought to something some Bioware fans could connect around, and now poof, done.

No seriously though, Shutting down Off Topic is a really crappy idea. The off topic was one of my favorite stops on these forums. I hope there will be such an uproar that they will rethink this decision.
And what kind of stupid reasoning is that anyway. The off topic was there to discuss ... well, off topic stuff with people who I knew from the boards or with people I don't know but of whom I do know that they have roughly the same taste in media and entertainment as I. And how does it hurt the boards in general? Who came up with this?
P.S.: And I don't want to move to a group either. The whole point is that it's public and that people can see it and contribute without havng to search it out on BSN. It adds diversity and flavor to the discussion. Bad idea BioWare.

They are literally ripping the heart out of closely knitted groups that depened on that section of the forums and without leaving any time to fix a new spot to meet.
It's a shame because I made some good friends around here, but I can't really see myself sticking around until ME:A comes out to hope that the MP takes off like ME3's did and we have a community in that forum alone. If it happens to do that I might come back for a time to do my datamining for that game, or I might just find some other place to do it.
Even more so insane that they shut down off-topic only like 15 minutes after putting out this message. Unfortunately it really was that board that was keeping me around here during the lull between Inquisition and Andromeda.
What a load of bull. Bioware has shot themselves in the foot many times but this is the icing on the cake. Off topic brings in alot of traffic and brings alot of connection with your own users. This is beyond ridiculous.

BioWare is just mad because the off topic boards were more fun than any game they've made since 2010.
Of course, bioware has shown time and time again they
1:get jealous very easily and always take it out on people
2: They can't take criticism well
3:Think improving means removing

Newsflash. the idea behind an off-topic section is to keep the on-topic section clean, thats why every single respectable forum I know has one. Congratulations, now all the ''stuff'' from the OT Section will inevitably bleed into the gaming sections, and as a bonus tons of your customers are angry.
Who the heck runs this community? 5 year olds? They don't even understand the basics.
