I think BioWare forgets that trying to delete/hide a problem doesn't magically make it go away.

 

I hope this slap in the face of all users gets returned when this site becomes Troll Haven and BioWare mods become more overwhelmed than the Raccoon City Police Department.

A friendly reminder to everyone that emotional kneejerk reactions (regardles of how much I empathize right now) aren't the best way to try and persuade the BioWare folks from thinking over some decisions. Oh, and I'm not directing this at people who are disappointed, just at people who are the particular kind of vocal in the heat of it right now.

 

 

I'm sure BioWare is letting the change blow over for now and once things are settled, maybe, just maybe there can be a discourse on whether all the changes were required and/or are beneficial for the community, or not.

The FO4 sub-section looks a bit like BSNs MEA section, lots of speculation and stuff. But otherwise it´s quite okay.

While I wasn't a big fan of the lobby users, I agree that this is a very bad decision. Every forums have their general discussions section in which people discuss everything other than the company's games. This decision severly limits the forums' creative discussions.

Not happy with it either. But I rather try and retain a modicum of believability when someone of the powers-that-are intends to make the argument that the offtopic section removal didn't only drive away troublemakers.

I'm glad to see the forum mergers.

Most spoily conversations should probably be in the "Story, Campaign and Characters" forum really.

I have no strong views on the Off Topic forum, though it occasionally served as a place to put things which were genuinely Bioware related but not closely tied to an individual game.
