The answer can't be to just roll over and give up. It just can't be. That would never feel right, and those poor future fans will never understand if the effort isn't made. What if the guys in The Alamo just said screw it and surrendered? There would be no inspiring, uplifting tails to inspire future generations. 

 

Admittedly I'm talking about people dying for freedoms compared to the ability to talk to each other, it's not a fair comparison in the slightest. But hopefully I still made my point.

 

Man, there were loads of people not even from the forums that came to off topic and lurked. And through lurking it became members that posted in other sections.

 

They'll never have a reason to jump in now. All those potential friends and contributors cut off. I won't ever dig that.

Today a little kid told me he got exhausted from watching me work. Later he came around again and explained to me that eating exhausts him, too. Made me laugh. ^^

While these changes haven't completely removed all the negative qualities from the forum, moderation could take care of the rest.

Funny thing, your treadmill run would've fit right in to Off Topic's BSNer Pics thread as for a long time we were talking about our workout regimens and techniques, what we did, what we wanted out of it, advice, all that paired up with pictures of ourselves and whatever random chat we had going on at the time.
