Yeah, I saw nothing technically mind-blowing with the new DLC. Makes the oldgen ban and on odd choice. Of course, it may have nothing to do with technical capability and more to do with market share (maybe those who stayed on old gen were shown to have lower adopt rates of DA:I than new gen) that didn't warrant the extra development dollars? Can't say for sure.
The introduction of machineguns was pretty mindblowing. Mindblowingly stupid.

Why did they have to ruin the dwarves? It was the one aspect of Dragon Age's fiction that they hadn't ruined.

lol @ Dwarven machine guns.
Its surreal seeing things having dialled down round here. Off topic disappearing was jarring enough, and I'll admit to feeling pretty damn broken up about it for a good while after. I can say without a doubt that plenty of others did too.
But thanks to Vroom and everyone else, we've recreated almost everything that got screwed over, and it seems to be going along just fine. So I suppose its hard to feel quite so badly over it when I know that most wouldn't even come back given the chance. We're doing our own thing now.
That said, there's still some dependant on answer. And really, it would be a damn shame for future site members to not have what we had here.
And even I myself haven't cut all ties just yet. So just a reminder that we're still waiting on that response, Bioware.

They didn't. The new Dwarves wield ballista that are the size of rifles, and use Lyrium inlays and ammo.

And yet they still spent the last two games trying to recreate Qunari gunpowder, despite the fact that they had better tech the entire time.

No; these Dwarves are rather like mutants, as they ingest Lyrium, and have hidden away in the deep recesses below the Deep Roads. They are an entirely separate culture, much like Atlantis or the Gray Dwarves from NWN.

Spoiler
I heard something about a WC double having something to do with this speech, though not clear as to the extent of their involvement.

Spoiler
Yes, I judge for myself, and the combat is garbage. As it has been, but now even worse with the machine guns.
Luckily, DA:I is schizophrenic. The rest is the same good tone, reminiscent even of DA:O. I don't play DA:I for the combat, I play it despite it. I used to wonder why the combat was such poop. I now think I know why. Multiplayer. Checking out this video and all the pieces fall into place.
Ain't it lotsa fun
