The game is definitely winding down, forum getting thinned into less topics, final DLC looks to be looming close now, They're definitely wrapping up DAI. Sadly the way they're going about this they may end up wrapping up and scaring off a ton of customers which will hurt if they do another installment. I guess they don't think the BSN is a big loss seeing as Bioware employees are extremely rarely outside of the multiplayer section as it is and the only way to find out news about DA is if someone from the community who actually uses twitter, facebook etc shares it here for those of us who do not.

Feedback section going is a loss, but feedback threads were being posted in half the forum sections as it was. This change seems to be combining different sections, making less places for threads to triple up in.

The developers' treatment of the forums has been pretty unimpressive. I get that the forums got out of control at one point. But the responsible reaction would have been to re-establish control, not just abandon the field, go full emo and weep silently in the corner, and then become bros with reddit. These are their forums.

Support will end around October (there will be at least one more patch and DLC).

True but the question is will the Patch be for the SP or the MP the last 2 have been MP centric so I'm hoping the last one is a massive SP Patch.

Me too! There are a few annoyances I'd really like to see gone from SP, and I know there are more issues than that. Really, you should patch almost every problem with your game before you stop support. Anything less is sloppy and unprofessional. If the game was more polished before release, they wouldn't need so many patches either.

You, me, and a lot of other people  I'd also like my Inquisitor's voice to be consistent, but alas, that's apparently too much to ask to be patched, or even work properly on release <_<

Looks like it, kind of a bittersweet moment. I still remember when I stayed up till 4am to watch their little E3 teaser with Morrigan. Ah...

Yeah the SP needs alot more polish/bug fixing before they move on to DA4 but it looks like they are ready to end Support for DAI which sucks ***.

I rather got the impression that no-one from BW/EA even looked at the Feedback forum for all the good it's done in getting things fixed; if I was being cynical the decision to move 'support' off to Twitter but leave the BSN forums open merely served to create an echo chamber for complaints/critiques that BW could comfortably ignore. If I were being cynical...

That aside looks like they're about ready for DAI's curtain call. So is this good-bye to DAI?

Who knows? It's not like they talk to us in their own forums.

I was going to say the same thing. I remember the unadulterated joy when we got a release date, hanging onto every word in the Twitter thread, especially when we approached release, thinking to myself, "Soon, I will KNOW THINGS!!" Can't believe it's been a year already. Ah...

I just hope they decide to really buckle down and use their remaining time to patch the SP that way DAI will be able to keep us busy until MEA & DA4 get released so I'm begging you B-Ware **** the MP **** it into Oblivion fix the damn SP.

I know, seriously. I also remember how I watched the old PAX panel videos on Gamespot like 50 times. How time flies..

EDIT: This one!

I think there will be a final batch of single-player fixes (hopefully they address some of the DLC issues and at least fix the combat freeze).

But if an issue isn't severe, I wouldn't expect it to get fixed at this point (I'm not sure what issues you're referring to when you say the game needs a lot more work).

Don't you think that this 'winding down' might have something to do with the 'ramping up' of Mass Effect Andromeda?  And why would the multiplayer section garner more dev support than any other, when the MP section was recently dissolved and incorporated into the more general sections of the forum?  Does the MP part of DA:I have microtransactions or something?  I'm asking because I couldn't care less about the MP aspect of DA:I for myself as a gamer, so I'm truly curious about the reasoning behind the more consistent dev support for it.

There are a lot of things that need fixing and polishing, like half of the skill rings and abilities either not working properly or having inaccurate descriptions. What makes that even worse is that some of those things were fixed in MP, but not SP. There are also things like the Inquisitor not having the correct voice half the time. You could argue that's not game-breaking, but to me it's VERY sloppy not to have polished at release, better yet after 9 patches.

For me, the party members locking up in combat (and subsequently dying most of the time) needs to be in a future SP patch.

Also getting all currently bugged SP abilities and rings fixed would be nice as well, especially since many of them were fixed for MP already.

Exactly. The party members locking only started recently for me, and seemingly other people too. I wonder what caused it.

Still remember holding the line with the other european players because the game launched a few days later here and the moment I was finally able to preload. Seems so long ago

All ability rings should work. The only real fix that MP got over SP that I know of is the Stonefist detonation (and maybe that'll work its way into the next patch). Some abilities (mainly the focus abilities) seem to have weird bugs, but those aren't in multiplayer at all (and other ones that work oddly, like Deathblow or Walking Bomb, work the same in both modes AFAIK).

Some ability descriptions aren't accurate, but BioWare avoids making text changes. That's the very definition of nonessential.

Patch 7.

For me on Xbox One it started almost immediately after Patch 7. I was going through The Hinterlands and both Cass and Solas locked up during the fight with the three Large Bears.

Patch 7.

Unless the rings are fixed without correcting tooltips, they're not fixed. Half of the ones I've tried to equip still register no change. I noticed the Barrier ring was fixed though.

Well, if we know that, it should make it easier for the devs to find the true source and correct it... if they bother. I mean, you could at least correct the bugs you make with other patches.

Most of them should work. They just don't always work the way you expect (sometimes they buff ancillary effects, or apply a modifier that isn't reflected in the ability description).

Strange. I'll probably stick with using Attack rings and a few others I know for sure work the way you'd expect.

Luke went through most of the reports. There were a few that were still broken, but a lot of them work but have silly effects (like Fire Mine has a weird duration buff, and Energy Barrage damage is done in such a way that the final damage calculation isn't really affected by the bonus the ring gives).

The ability description system is really limited. I wouldn't rely on it to be useful for anything.
