Anybody else experiencing the title subject error message?

I installed dragon age origins (digital deluxe edition from the EA store) this morning without any problems. However when I press the Play button it's trying to connect me to some EA Core and appearantly failing to connect to that.

It doesn't even load the game at all. I already disabled my firewall but that didn't help me any either.
Anybody know what's going on there?
To me it seems as if their servers are off line or something.

Side note; I live in Europe, is the game actually live here already? Perhaps anybody from Europe that can tell me if they can play already?

Hmm.. well I'm currently at work, maybe it's fixed when I get back home and maybe it was just a temporary server problem. That's what I'm hoping though. However if Sanpoo has the problem it could also be something else.

Considering the low response I guess it's not a very common problem. :-/

Thanks Magsooret, a friend of mine also pointed me to this exact same thread. I'm definately gonna try this when I'm back home.

I think it will fix it though, it seems to fix it for almost everybody there.

My problem is fixed. I used EA's download manager to fill in the registration key that I got in the e-mail that told me that I can download Dragon age Origins (note that there were no 4-'s in the code, it was just 16 characters in total, code can be filled in without the -'s). Next it told me that this registration key was already in use, that's okay though. After that I went to the next tab and pressed Play behind dragon age origins.

I also had a *.dll error involving my videocard drivers, but after searching for that particular dll with google I found a fix on the 1st link and downloaded the newest drivers.

After that I said a small prayer, hit the Play button again and the error was gone!

More tips are in: http://daforums.biow...forum=146&sp=15

If all of the above doesn't help then try replacing the EADM cache folder to somewhere else, this is better described in the link above though.

I enjoy the game. What I'm not enjoying is the ill-defined series of hoops I'm being asked to jump through. Every time I turn around I'm being warned I'm not logged in to something or not registered and there's no clear explanation I've seen of how to connect all the dots.

This solution unfortunately does not work for people who purchased the game from D2D. It's very unfair - I have been very polite and followed the instructions given to me by the various tech support people I have talked to, and though the solution seems to be (it's written elsewhere in these forums) to get them to manually attach the D2D serial number with our EA accounts, nobody seems to want to do that. It's very difficult for me to align my schedule to their tech support hours, and even when I manage to connect, it's nothing worth waiting for.

I wish this problem would be better known and perhaps that the EA people might do more to help us deal with it. It feels ridiculous, but I'm actually considering pirating a game I purchased legally because of all the trouble. If it truly does come to that, I am going to tell everybody I can about how awful this whole experience was, and how when it comes to EA and possibly BioWare, piracy is easier than purchasing the actual product!
