If you go onto off topic and have a title like "Don't put threads in the wrong section" then you're a okay.

You can thank the powers that be for reorganizing the forums to delete a bunch of the various sub forums.  Now we are stuck with character discussion in all the combat strategy areas.

I was a little bit surprised to see the character threads here and saying to myself "Were they here before? I remember some other threads being here"

Made especially dumb by the fact that a) the Party Members Subforum still exists (and it's attached right to this section) and it'd make more sense to move it and these threads to Story Campaign and Characters.

It took me a couple of minutes to find where the threads were moved to.

I just reported and requested a move for Vega, Miranda, Liara, Ashley, Garrus, Jack, Kaidan, and Jacob. (I think that's all.) I'm not sure if there are other semi-official threads or they're past the first three pages. (I've gotta go to work sometime today. ) I don't know if Tali's ME3 thread is the semi-official one, and there's also one specifically about Thane's romance, but I couldn't find one just about  either of them as characters.

 

It looks like they are being moved and I'm not in trouble yet (small victories!), so maybe that's the best way. Maybe we can use this thread to post which ones we're requesting moved so we don't barrage the moderators with reports.

I don't know if this was addressed when you spoke to the moderators, but specific threads aside, it'd make more sense if the Party Members subforum were moved to Story, Campaign, and Characters.

I didn't speak to anyone, unfortunately. All I could do was report the threads and request them to be moved. Though I do agree they should be in Story, Campaign and Characters.

Agreed, they should be. It didn't even make sense to me where they were before. Characters section right there but the character threads were in the Customization etc. section?

And also can you please move the Party Members sub forum to Story, Campaign and Characters? Unless you're closing that too, in which case please just move it somewhere accessible.

It was part of the restructuring. We already moved all the threads out of this category except for those that were archived.

I'll move the active character threads into the Story, Campaign and Characters section. I'm guessing one of the moderators didn't read the restructuring details and moved them to Party Members.

Oh, and when I said this section will be closing I meant the Party Members board, didn't realize this was in the Combat, Strategy, and Gameplay section. That will remain.

I agree. The Story, Campaign & Character forum for DAI has been so cluttered with character threads from the start that I don't even bother going there, even though I might like to engage in some discussions about the plot, things like speculations on Solas, the fall of Arlathan, etc. But all I ever see there are threads about Solas, Iron Bull, Cassandra, Sara, etc.

I've moved the Kasumi thread. The thread moving was all part of the recent restructuring. I believe looking at how to better deal with the character threads is something the team is investigating.
