I would ask you all, or at least those of you who care about the new players in the community, to read and comment on my post in Conal Pierse's thread:

I honestly think you have a better chance at pleading your case to Harbinger right before he turns you into reaper juice.
On Tapic..these changes were made for a reason, so I dont think we get much say in the process.
ugh what is going on?
today i finally had time to play with the ps3 people and learn the valkyrie way
bioware stuff making our life harder
Send me the thread and I can sticky it. If you do have a topic for each platform would it be possible to just create a single topic that links to them? I would prefer to keep the pinned topics at a minimum.
Thank you for responding. The thread is still here but in LfG it had a chance of staying on the front page. Now to be sure of being seen it needs to be stickied, so I'm grateful for your offer. It's this one:
http://forum.bioware...-this-subforum/
If you sticky it I will happily change the title to match, and probably to a slightly calmer tone.
If you read the OP in that thread you'll see that it has links to each of the platform threads, although it would be good to edit them for conformity. I don't yet know whether those threads made the transition, I'm still finding my way around the new layout myself.
If you PM me we can work out all the finer details without bothering the already-stirred-up hornets nest ![]()
EDIT: I see that some of the original post will need to be edited to make sense in the present context. I'm waiting to see what the settles down to be before making any changes, and also waiting to hear back from you, Jesse. OK?
Sure, clean up the title a bit and I can sticky it in this forum.
Also, the threads that were moved don't lose their original URL. So if you had bookmarked them or Google had indexed them that link will still be the same. It goes off the topic ID and doesn't contain the category/board ID.
It would be kind if you'll sticky it now and I'll do a full cleanup tomorrow, title included - it's not quite trivial. I should be asleep at this moment, and would have been if I hadn't suddenly discovered the changes to the forum.
As to the platform threads, I understand, and they are still there, but the advantage of the old way was that anyone who was looking for a group, or an old hand looking to support the newbies, would go to LfG and would easily be able to see if there were any new posts in those threads. I hope that's clear. So it worked, even if there were one or two new posts in a thread each day or every few days. That level of traffic will get those threads permanently buried in Multiplayer because of the amount of posts new threads generate. I hope that's clear too. But maybe you can see more clearly how to deal with that? My only idea is to have a single thread and add the requirement in the (Not) Sticky that players add their platform. (Downer being that the smaller playerbase platforms - WiiU and PS3 - will be buried in the same way.) But it is what it is.
I've pinned it and changed the title to "Looking for Group? Look Here First". Feel free to modify it but try to keep that general wording.
Thank you, I really appreciate what you've done to alleviate the situation caused by the changes
I'll give it a proper going over tomorrow but I won't stray far from that wording. Before any serious changes I'll PM you to check.
There was no need for it to exist in the first place, tbh.
I wonder why they haven't bothered to re-pin the Fix Me, Brojo! Thread.
ZOMG!
Given how non utilized this sub forum is, I doubt people are going to even read a sticky

GRRRAAAAAAAAGGHH!!! CRASHSUIT!!! WE NEED YOU NOW MORE THAN EVER!!!! COME BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACCKKKK!!!
bioware = id-10-t
removing off topic = reegar-tarded
the result = i will spend about 1/4 of the time on the forum as I normally would. why? because constrained topics are limiting -> boredom ensues, and I go back to watching metal on youtube as opposed to in vorcha's metal thread.
Great move bioware

This is from 1993, and believe it or not, I first saw/heard it on MTV. See, back then, they didn't suck.
22 years later, the CD stills holds up well. These guys were way ahead of their time.
