Indeed. I can tell you that my valkyrie play is much whorier with less surviving to the end of waves.

the psychology of a scorewhore is one of insanity at being outscored by a krogan shaman with a graal. makes them use all their missiles on spawns on wave 11, their salt fuels my lulz.

also, unworthy of a headbutt.

The only medal I care about is [full extraction]

I dont care what the other player picks, I will pick something even more overpowered than what he has or exactly the same thing as him. I like the challenge to outscore people who are trying to top the scoreboard. Whether they will ever admit it or not everyone wants to be the MVP of the game and top the scoreboard, that is what we are all playing this game for, that is why we use good kits/weapons, that is why we use the best gear/equipment, that is why some of us will do some shady stuff to find that little advantage that will help them top the scoreboard or complete a solo in the shortest amount of time. I can respect that in a person if they achieve success within the boundaries of what I find acceptable and what is not.

and you still wonder why people kick you from lobbies.

Here's hoping they leave it out of ME:A completely, so we have something better to talk about.

I'd be wary of pre-ordering it regardless. I'm expecting a massive fail on their part.

I'm quite sure they were still working on DAI when Andromeda was being designed.

You think the design phase is complete?

In general, yes. If it wasn't designed by now, how would they manage finishing it in the remaining time? I understand "design" as in doing the blueprints and thinking the gameplay concepts.

If some of the DA staff was working on MEA then this could spell disaster when quest structure is concerned. My biggest gripe with DAI was the plethora of pointless, meaningless and waste of life side quests. They felt very boring and out of touch with everything.

Witcher 3 has arguably become the new standard of ALL RPG's. The side quests were very well written and actually felt part of the already awesome main quest. When side quests of an RPG game feel like it should've been in the main quest then you know its a 10/10 in that department.

I'm a completionist in RPG games and completing the side quests in DAI never felt so boring and insulting. It was a poor excuse to call it a big game. Witcher 3 on the other hand made me excited for each new side quests. I was sad when I finished them all and left me jizzing for each new dlc quests. The MEA staff should take some notes on the depth of the script writing of witcher 3 and especially its side quests.

*Edit and no I'm not talking about the theme of the witcher world "Hodor".

I guess design is pretty open ended. Either way, implementation is also a major cause for concern.

"Hope always dies last." they say from where I come from. Still enough time to cultivate my pessimism. It'll grow exponentially once the marketing gets into full gear.

Yes, I won't be preordering as well and will buy only if the reviews are good. However, IMO, DAI single player is very good unless you run around to collect all the pieces of this and bottles of that. Then, it becomes a chore. Multiplayer has broken promotions, lame design, and random store although still worth a casual peek.

My mistake was buying it for MP only.

good post,

except that a casual peek is not really possible with this game (or with games like this)

Once you start, you want to get (to) THIS or THAT.  At the beginning you aren't perfectly aware of the game's flaws

and even if you are, you get sucked in for at least a couple of hundred hours  - no matter how many frustrating moments you have and hate you feel ;-)

In my case, the DAI nightmare lasted about 1/5 of the time I've spent with ME, which is still quite long.  UNFORTUNATELY

But at least I've learned,  and did not return for any of these new things (Hakkon ? and new character, etc.)

There's an "IN" missing in the beginning of that video's title. ;)

Regarding your last question OP, the best way of dealing with such behaviour is to steal the pizza and run away.

Well, it worked for me a couple of times.   :)

Hmmm ... maybe I should dig out Witcher and start playing.  I have Witcher 1 and 2 but only spent about 10 mins on Witcher 1 before putting both away.  I have about a hundred or so games on which I spent an hour or less.  Blame my propensity to buy games and ME3.
