Hello there. Been playing DAIMP for almost a month now and addicted like most here on the forums. Feel my competency with gameplay and classes is on par. I'm able to run nm on the right class without much prestige and contribute to the group. Crafting wise I'm making all class gear to remove because I heard it removes it from the loot tables.

Which leads me to questions about loot. Seems like everything I get from chests in game and purchases is around lvl 10, including purples. How do you get higher level items? Is it related to your prestige rating? Anything which helps optimize time spent gathering loot is appreciated.

You have to loot so many items then it puts on you a better loot table.  I believe I read somewhere that it was 300.  So if you open only the 2000g chests and don't do any weekend events and don't open any treasure rooms that means spending around 75000g.

Is there any chart out there showing each reward tier and amount of chests required to reach that tier? Or roughly how many loot tiers are there?

Every piece of loot improves your odds of getting weapons that are higher tier, this is linear I believe,

 

300 gets you to dragon tier, generally you can start to get dragon weapons from perilous, and should start seeing various higher level weapons (20 or so level). 700 gets you to Hakon level, and you can get the special loot from the nightmare dragon.

 

I think the loot cap is at 10,000, at which point your odds of getting the best loot is maxed out, and you can get any available weapons, but even at that point your odds of getting the high level weapons you can get are still rather low.

 

Only the special drops from the dragons, the dragon weapon set, Hakon weapon set, and the new special nightmare weapon set are locked,

 

the others are just near impossibly unlikely to drop(1 in 100,000,000 odds type of possible)

Really the only way to improve item score is to play the game: clear treasure rooms and purchase chests from the store. The more expensive chests are a little more efficient in terms of a gold/item ratio, so if you're really vested in bumping that stat up you'll want to focus on buying the Superb Requisition Chests.
