It was fine when the war table missions were like 10-30 min long but bloody 8 hours? yeah I dont want that.

Surely, not this one? The Colossal Cave ? My very first on a mainframe.

Not quite one's with typing, more like one's with choices. But that's interesting one ^^
Inquisition Power was used for some of those missions, and judging from the amount of it available, most missions were supposed to be running off it before they were retooled for real-time system.
Its linked to your computer clock. I just move it a day ahead then back to normal and the missions are done....but yeah, I'd rather not resort to that.
Please, no War Table Mission in MEA... I tried to make a maximum of missions with Leliana, just to try it... And just before the final boss I still had plenty of missions to do. I had to wait a full week before reaching the end because of this. Morning, opening the game, choose mission, leave. Comme back at the evening, read, choose mission, close game... At this rate, it is more like a mobile game.
instead of getting rid of things that don't work they could make it better.
problem with war table was only that it took too much time to get anything. the idea of commanding from a war table adds to the feeling of space Noah protags productivity and makes the ark crew more active. You also get to farm resources or something while on mission. whats not to like about multitasking?
I used my OS's calendar and moved time forward. And the Missions are completed then. All I do then is move my OS's clock back. But yeah..I shouldn't have to do that.
I didn't mind the war table times in Inquisition. If I had to wait an hour or so, I'd explore and do missions I had. If the time was 10 or so hours, I set them before I went to bed or work. No big deal for me.
I agree, no more real time or at least make it worthwhile and reasonable. It should not take 30 mins to bring back 3 elf roots and have those Inquisition soldiers in the field ever had anything remotely interesting on those trunks? I think MGSV did a fairly good job of real time. I Deployed soldiers on a 15 min mission and they came back with lots of money, resources, and volunteers who were assigned to departments and I can order to develop the weapons and items I needed. I didn't feel like a farmer. The only time I began to feel the weight of the real time portions of the game were during chapter 2 which was an awful time sink altogether.
The war table was worse than one of those Facebook games
