I keep seeing people talking about meeting up with their companions in the fade during the circle tower "cleansing." When I did this it was solo start to finish. Did I miss something?
Different experiences in the fade?

Solo start to finish? In my experience, I did the 5 surrounding areas, free'd my companions, then they joined me in the final battle.

Yea I was solo start to finish. I explored pretty thoroughly and never found them. In the cutscene after the sloth demon it showed all my party members running over to me. I figured something may have been up on the last fight. The ONLY way I survived was by using a neat trick. If you drop golem form and go back it ends up healing you for a pretty substantial amount.

Your companions are in the nightmare part of the fades. And there are 3 nightmares. And you don't open up the mightmares until you kill all the lessor main demons of the Fade.
As for all the spiri doors, well you have to be a spirit to open them.
And don't forget the Permant Buffs to your abilities you get from this mission. If you did you missed out on a great opurtunity.
The only way to find everything is too use you Dream Shapshifting abilities to go to places you otherwise can't as yourself.

Oh, yea I never went to the nightmares because they didn't seem important to killing the sloth demon. Oopsiedoodles. I was just getting weary from that never ending mage tower cleansing and wanted to wash my hands of that haha.

You really didn't miss much so I wouldn't worry too much about it.
Also, for me the spirit doors showed up on the map as little X's so I just checked the map every so often to make sure i didn't miss one.

a bug i also had. i solod it coz i had no party members. But i did free them out of the nightmares! after i beat the sloth demon i found out that something was wrong. i loaded a savegame just before getting the companions back. i did it again, and this time i had them in the fight against the sloth demon.
my tip..
there are more people who had this bug. so save before u go to the nightmares so you can load it and try again. if they dont join you at the end boss.

There are 3 outer islands. Those are your companion's nightmares. You don't have to visit them, but you can.

Ok I'm gonna ask my ?? here instead of starting a new post... Is there any secret areas/doors in the fade like there are in the werewolf lair?? I thought I saw there was on a diff forum but I don't remember which 1 it was lol... This is like my too many times in fade it's starting to get boring I need to find something diff instead of rushing through it cause I'm bored faze lol

I didn't know it was possible to "not" free your companions from the fade to kill the sloth. I've always thought it was mandatory...

The nightmare sections are, IMO, the only saving grace of that portion of the game. I can't stand this portion on account of how blurry everything is and how it makes it nearly impossible for me to play through without getting a headache. But seeing Zevran's nightmare or Morrigan's totally makes it worth it every time. Especially Zev's.
