Bioware will be at PAX this year with a whole lot of events of their own, but they're also in the official schedule with a Dragon Age panel - and it looks like future content will be talked about!

Dragon Age: Past, Present, and Future - Saturday, August 29

Join members of the Dragon Age team for an open discussion about the series, a chance to participate in Q&A with the team and, as a special treat, a worldwide reveal of new content for Dragon Age: Inquisition.

Livestream link: http://www.twitch.tv/PAX

Time: 4:30pm - 5:30pm PDT

It sounds like some interesting things will be talked about, as the description for a Bioware Base event on Sunday hints:

"Good Morning PAX: Mornings are hard, so start them off right. Come ask all the burning questions we’re betting you have after Saturday’s panel."

The Base info also says that their panel is "a special sneak peek of what’s to come in the Dragon Age universe."

Personally I think they'll be showing off a trailer for the new (last?) SP DLC, but this does seem like a big stage to make that sort of announcement. It's in the main theatre at PAX Prime.

I'm pretty sure they're annoucing the Qunari DLC.

The only question is ...is this going to be an expansion?

I suddenly feel excited and shuddered. It's like expecting a great, great event, and you cannot tell whether it would be as perfect as you expect.

No. I think they said they aren't doing expansions.

This Dragon Age panel might have a little bit about the DLCs that have yet to be released for DA:I, but I reckon it's more to do with where they want to take the franchise in the future. What they want to work on. What they have planned. What the feedback was for DA:I and how they are implementing that feedback into how they approach the next installment. That sort of thing.

Yeah they're probably not doing an expansion like before when you could buy a material copy.

Nothing stopping them for doing an expansion like DLC though.

To be fair, they said that they're not doing expansion LIKE Awakening. That doesn't rule out making expansions that are smaller/same size or bigger, but different in terms of implementation to the main game.

(also, why do I have a feeling that if they'd keep calling this last DLC an expansion (like the survey did) there will be people coming out of woodwork, complaining that Bioware LIED to them ?)

Well, the PAX description of the panel says that there will be a worldwide announcement of DAI content and Mike Laidlaw and Mark Darrah pretty much confirmed on their Twitters that something indeed is going to be announced - question is whether it's what most people are expecting...

The way they are setting up this new content sounds large - it sounds like an expansion to me, and believe me I am aware they shot that down. Just seems like that significant events are going to happen in this DLC and you can't make it happen that quickly or else it will feel a little shallow.

Well, looks like this will be my night:

berry-break-26-21.gif

But the announcement is just too enticing to sleep through. It does sound like this may be an expansion rather than an ordinary DLC. Too many things point the direction of being right for this assumption to be wrong.

Just seems that a lot is happening, don't think it could realistically be covered in the the smaller DLCs we've had so far. Plus this new content seems like it is going to have a large amount of hype around it when you think about it getting an hour on Saturday and then a panel to chat on Sunday.

God I'm so hyped. I'm pretty sure I'm setting up for disappointmend but whatever!!! I don't think it's an announcment of a DLC drop very soon after like some people seem to think - but I think it's a teaser for something that is going to be released in November and it's going to be huge because why else announce it on the big stage? I'd be thrilled if it were a DLC similar to Citadel for ME3 - I loved that a lot, so that's what I'm hoping for :D

Unfortunately, the event is at 1:30AM for me so I'm pretty sure I'll sleep through it. Any idea where I can quickly check what happened when waking up? I don't think the live stream is archived, or is it? (Then I could watch it first thing in the morning and pretend it was live ).

Get on the forum when you wake up , usually Pinecone keeps his main post updated.

And most of the time you can rewatch things on Twitch or it's going to end up on youtube.

Yeah like Arrival that was a terrible Dlc that was shallow and was pointless if they go the same route then they can go **** themselves seriously.

Does anyone think it might not be a DLC at all? I mean, I hope it is, but "content" is a bit vague. Could it be a movie, or a spin-off game? I really hope not

If it was, would the PAX info say that this is "content for DAI"?

One would think that if it was a movie or a spin-off, they'd describe it as content for DA, as in franchise, and not something specifically for Inquisition? I mean, unless someone who wrote that info added "I" by mistake.

Strange, i'm normally excited for DLC announcements, or i was for all the rest of DA games an all ME games, but i find it hard to feel even a twinge here even though i thought the base game an last dlc were ok

EDIT: i think it is because, for me, im sad to say but i dont think the DA team can up there game for this, i'll see an hope to be very wrong

I skimmed it and only saw "Dragon Age content" and "What's to come in the Dragon Age universe" not "DA:I content"   So that's good. I'm just trying to make sure I don't get my hopes too high.
