So when is the panel starting?

2 hours from now I think.

What? Jaws of Hakkon was pure AWESOME hands down and The Descent had some ingenious approach to level design, visuals, that bombastic soundtrack, not to mention some big story bombs it dropped. I, for one, have been very happy with the DLC we got so far. But I agree this one seems like the best of the lot. I love when Inquisition is actually about the Inquisitor. Would have loved to see more of that in the vanilla game, but this looks just perfect.

Ugh... tell me about it eh? I LOVED those DLC so much and people hated on them fiercely. And omg the music in Descent was just the best! I felt nostalgic when I heard Orzammar's theme.

I forgot about that Eluvian at....the Winter Palace (?) in the trailer.

I imagine Empress Celene put it there. Briala has been using them for her spies, but Celene putting it there fits with what happened in the Masked Empire. Or maybe they both put it there. Regardless, one of them (Or Gaspard even, because Celen/Briala/Gaspard/Chevin all went on a merry trip through dozens of Eluvians) could approach the Inquisitor and tell them about the Eluvian as a means to sort whats happening out/escape.

According to Masked Empire, there's been an eluvian in the Winter Palace for a long time; it was originally just another one of the elven artifacts used for decorations.  Briala used it to send Celene home at the end of the book.  (Looks like keeping it there might've been a bad idea.  Not to mention the one still at Skyhold...)

Oh they were! But people wanted Solas continued in each DLC and got upset when it was pre/post-game content. As each DLC came out and people complained, they just smirked in the shadows.

I'm one of those people who were very upset because, IMHO, the two previous DLC had little or nothing to offer. The truth is,  I'm still very disappointed with the whole DAI thing. I've been a huge fan of the DA two previous games (yes, DAO and DA2), as with other Bioware games, like the ME series. I'm sure there were some people, like you, who found the 2 previous DLC's worth it their price. What can I say? Good for you. I didn't. I also found DAI main game incredibly boring and tedious to play through.

This is a nicely done trailer for a new DLC (as good as the DAI's trailers were that left me all hyped before launching). I sincerely hope the real thing will be everything you and many other people were expecting from it. I have already shelved my DAI and I wouldn't push myself to complete a playthrough just to play this post game DLC, no matter how good it could be. This time for me, is going to be just watching a lot of videos on youtube to get an idea and I will definitely keep an eye for when Bioware is about to launch some DA4 or whatever name it will be.

Oh damn, I remember now. Because at the end one of the servants come in and Celene has them scurrying of to do a bunch of stuff for her. I really need to re-read that novel, it was my favourite out of them all.

Can't believe I forgot that lol

I suspect those 2 DLC are to prepare us for the next game (and kill time so we didn't get bored waiting for this one) and if I remember right, the thing with Solas was in the main game but cut, so they have been working on this DLC probably longer than the others. It even ties in with the books. DA2 had DLC that prepared us for DAI, so I think it's the same with these ones. They will not wrap up the questions in the previous DAI DLC with this final one so that's best left to DA4.

I will admit I wasn't expecting the next DLC to come out so quickly, it hasn't even been a month since The Descent but I'm not complaining! The DLC looks awesome based off that trailer and I'm kind of getting Awakening vibes from it. Compared to Descent and Hakkon this looks like a big expansion for the game. :)

If by quality issue you mean being two of the best DLC released in recent memory... sure!

That's a bad joke.

Ack this wait! Im off to have more coffee and play something in the meantime :P

Funny thing - my Def!Quiz looks almost exactly like the one in the trailer (actually modeled after FemShep because Mass Effect is my life now). So yeah, this should be quite interesting (only if to just see how much more caffeine I can have before the inevitable heartsplosion).

I'm curious to see if we'll see any indication of DA4 stuff. I'm not getting my hopes up or really counting on it or anything...but it's possible we might get hints.

I seem to recall that a LONG time before we knew anything about DAI we saw concept art of Blackwall and Cassandra at a panel. It was at least a year out.

But again, it's not something I'm counting on.

I found the trailer to be too flashy and overdone, and the melodrama... ahh, the melodrama.

Dragon Age is at heart a JRPG, and JRPGs are like oversweetened turkish coffee (my favorite type of coffee): you need that excess sugarmelodrama otherwise it doesn't tastes like it's supposed to.

I love how people are already complaining and we just have a teaser trailer that hasn't even officially been released. Mmm, salty, delicious tears.

Very happy that the new Divine is actually the new Divine in this DLC. Nice to see your choices have an effect on the world in such a way. Moreso than an epilogue. :P

So here's my thoughts about the trailer:

The Inquisitor is put on trial by Fereldan and Orlais for theft of resources by having harvesting herbal and mineral resources from regions that did the Inquisition did not legally owe claim to. The Inquisitor does a book drop in response.

The Qunari mistook the Inquisition's annual picnic as an agressive incursion because a foot soldier tried to cover for his sick scout buddy and misread the maps.

There's some Scooby-Doo door shenanigans going on with the Eluvians, the Inquisition and the Qunari.

The Inquisitior's first question to Solas is going to be about where he ditched that sweet high tier equipment they worked so hard on making. Seriously, I'm talking pre-Emporium gathering of dye material.

You need to play more JRPGs then.

The scariest thing is that she doesn't seem to be joking. My only explanations are that, either she had never played any Bioware DLC before or worse, she was one of the devs for The Descent now suffering from a mental meltdown.

Is that the Divine?  I thought it was the Divine's delegate at whatever meeting it is.

It's Viv in the trailer. So our Dragon Age Keep female Rogue has a default state in which the mages were likely conscripted.

Or SHOCKING as it may seem, some of us might actually have enjoyed the DLC and saw past the bad things  :P

I'm sorry, but neither JoH nor Descent come close to the quality of BioWare's previous DLC. And I say that as someone who played and enjoyed both for what they were.

Just kidding... kinda.

Maybe.
