I don't get this empty criticism... especially for a cave system that is mostly uninhabited with only a few full hubs. The dark roads should feel empty and desolate, especially since the Ancient Dwarven thaigs have mostly been lost and in ruins for years. But then, i have no need to have a person pop up every 15 feet to make a world feel "not empty". So much more to filling space than people or even their creations.
The two last caverns are simply two of the best environments in gaming to me. But then, I also loved the "emtpy" planets where I could ride the Mako and enjoy the starscapes and intresting vistas. I don't need people or things they create to appreciate a space.
Whoa, I'm glad you're not mad at me or anything.
I would like to say as a preemptive that if it does turn out that Solas is somehow responsible for the Qunari invasion; Thedas better invent the phone because I called it!
I think she has too much power and everyone's feeling small beside her, so they want her gone. They have a Divine now, so the Chantry is seeking power again and possibly revenge for being upstarted by a nobody. I hope that scene where she drops the book on the floor is an ending choice.
I wouldn't rush and paint the inquisitor that Innocent who knows what happened in two years , there's a lot of chance that they misused their authority , and i wouldn't go that everyone's feeling small comparing to the inquisition , i have a feeling that by the start of the dlc we'll see that the inquisition is no more the one with all that power.
As for the ending i hope will have the option for the inquisitor to die.
Oh wait... I just had a thought! What if the trial is like Varric's interrogation in DA2?
You mean like the events of the DLC happened before and then the trial?
Possible, but I doubt it since the Inquisitor refers to them being angry while also referring to other things happening in the DLC.
You're entitled to your opinion, but DLC from BioWARE has always been a mixed bag. ME3 was the last big game, and both Leviathan and particularly Omega had serious flaws (Leviathan added to that crap of an ending, and Omega was basically a Mary Sue XenoSlash Fanfic with tons of glitches). DA2 had great DLC's, but Origins and ME1 had some real crappy ones barring a couple
Jaws of Hakkon was threadbare, but it was fun to play and the Avvar were kinda fun (if noble savage cliche). The Descent was gripping, beautiful, created a great character in Lieutenant Renn, and interesting backstory of the dwarves and Titans. I think it's flaw was that it really lacked interaction with the companions, particularly Solas (who I would think would be greatly intrigued). Because of that, Valta and Renn were catapulted to center stage. By the end, there was no one to dilute Valta with.
Just to clarify, I particularly meant the following (in no specific order):
* Lair of the Shadow Broker
* Citadel
* Awakening (yes, I know it was technically an expansion)
* Leliana's Song
If I had to choose between Hakkon or Descent, I would easily go with the latter.

I keep thinking it'll be like Varric in DA2 because she sits there telling them what happened as we play it out. She's too calm and her hand seems fine for it to be happening during this mess, unless it all gets real after the trial and she's already left.
Whoa, I'm glad you're not mad at me or anything.
What is that supposed to mean?
"Tribunal: How do you plead?
Inquisitor: Oh, I'm guilty. I am so guilty that I'm disbanding the Inquisition right now and letting you deal with the angry Qunari at the door.
Tribunal: Well, um, let us not be hasty..."
That's how I'd like to respond.
I would go with: am guilty , fight me.
Then massacre all of them.
Does anyone know if I'll be able to watch the stream on youtube, or is this going to be only a twitch thing? Cuz if its just twitch I might as well not bother, because twitch is a horrible site ![]()

Ah... Bummer ![]()
Maybe they'll post it on another site... I'll keep my eyes open.
It makes me wonder if our choices are going to help or worsen the situation. Everything we've done, everything we chose, how we shaped our Inquisitor will all be put on trial.
Those elements should be there too, but after two years certainly much has happened , i think it will play out as you're in the trail the events that happened past those two years will be revealed to us be it as charges or else , i don't think that the dlc will start as a cut scene that will tell us what has changed during those two years , rather than revealing them in game.

Yeah and maybe if we ruled as tyrants our Inquisitor is a menace after 2 years, but if we ruled fairly, she's just a push-over.
Let me tell you a secret; shh. I enjoyed Omega, I enjoyed JoH, am enjoying Descent
I too tend to like the content of Bioware's DLCs... What I like less is the fact that I often get the feeling that these DLCs hide behind pay walls content that should have been part of the main game (Seriously? I have to pay to get Shale and Javik and to get to know about Corypheus? These should be part of the main quests!)

Harvester... evil evil evil!!! I hated that DLC boss so much! The ending was just... a B movie!
Me playing Amgarrak for the first time:
"Ok, so, should I just run around with Elemental Chaos turned on and finish the boss with brute force or be subtle and use well thought strategies to beat it?"
40 minutes and half a dozen tries later
"Ok: brute force it is"
20 minutes later: Achievement unlocked: Grim Reaper
Subtlety is overrated.

I wonder if you'll be able to chose what will you say to answer against your charges in the trail or will it be a cut scene , if so i hope it's well done.
I see two potential paths for the trial:
This... and since most of the "criticisms" resort to the same tired cliches being repeated ad nauseaum... I thought it was obvious. And at this point, I'm also tired of those that just don't like how DA:I does it and assumes is consensus like the ME3 endings, despite it becoming clearer that many people love DA:I as it is and want more of it.
That's quite unfair. A lot of criticism towards DA:I has been very constructive and thoughtful. Obviously there are trolls and "whiners" but that's everywhere.
I think it's important though that you realized, and for all I know you do, that just as there are people that are very happy with Inquisition and want more of it, there are some that were quite dissatisfied and want change for the future. Looking who is in the majority is pointless as it's probably impossible to really tell.
On topic: That trailer made me incredibly pumped for Inquisition again, can't wait !

I see two potential paths for the trial:
It's essentially a remake of Tali's trial from Mass Effect 2, where the protagonist answers affect the final judgement.
It follows the template established by Chrono Trigger: in the old SNES classics, decision made during the early part of the game (stealing a sandwich, bringing back a little girl's
feline hellspawncat) influenced the trial outcome: here the choices made during Inquisition (helped refugees or not, exiled Wardens or kept them, who rule Orlais, etc...) affect the trial and its outcome.
As long as we don't have an evil demon disguised as a chancellor lying about your outcome and jailing you to be beheaded like poor Crono had!

Absolutely, though as I've learnt (repeatedly)
¿No hay ni una jodida cosa en esta mundo que funcione como debe?
Just going to watch this gif of Solas turning around until the panel starts. ![]()

Ok currently I am getting SimCity stream and DA-related chat on the side. Is Twitch as psyched about this as we are or is my computer hating me again?
EDIT: Nevermind. There is an unusual rapport between my laptop and I tonight.
Language.
Curiously the line works much better in English,
the Spanish has something lost in translation...
(and anglo-saxon language is great for swearing with conviction...)

I've seen a few posters that have brought up stuff I can understand... such as more Inner Circle style sidequests that allow some choices, getting to go to a city (didn't think it made sense for the main game, given the story, but I can see a DLC allow it), and a few other such wishes. BUt a lot of the "criticisms" I have seen have been "empty!", contradictory "I want a fleshed out protagonist but a protagonist I flesh out!", not enough character interaction in the vanilla game (to which I just facepalm), and a continued attack against the main story being the weakest story around yet very few ever post reasons why.
It wears thin after awhile.
And has it started yet or is everyone else waiting for the PAX stream on twitch?
