To be fair, they said that they're not doing expansion LIKE Ascension. That doesn't rule out making expansions that are smaller/same size or bigger, but different in terms of implementation to the main game.

 

(also, why do I have a feeling that if they'd keep calling this last DLC an expansion (like the survey did) there will be people coming out of woodwork, complaining that Bioware LIED to them ?)

 

 

Well, the PAX description of the panel says that there will be a worldwide announcement of DAI content and Mike Laidlaw and Mark Darrah pretty much confirmed on their Twitters that something indeed is going to be announced - question is whether it's what most people are expecting...

It would be amazing if the next DLC was announced with a release date, but I wouldn't mind if it wasn't. It's only been a few weeks since Descent - I know it's a separate studio but still.

 

Saying that, how good would a Saturday reveal, Sunday release be

Probably safe to say some type of development has occured in regards to it. The good thing is they already have an engine for it. The problem I see is that a lot of writers are on the new IP. Only guys left with Dragon Age i'm aware of is Darrah and Laidlaw - unless the writers figured out the plot of DA4 before moving on...seems tough to flesh out new characters in that quick of a timeframe though.

Yeah it's always possible...

 

But the social media accounts have been talking about the qunari and stuff a bit recently, and that fits in exactly with the 'leaked' DLC concept that was floating around a few months ago.

Wasn't the main website also updated with Qunari Codex's very recently as well?

 

 

Or maybe were just reading way too much into it.

Yep. They did the same thing with dwarven, darkspawn and Deep Roads codex entries before the announcement of The Descent.

But yeah Eluvian , qunari , fade , Solas ...I just can't link mysteries of the fade and Qunari.

She's always alive in my game , and I got the wartable mission to study her eluvians.

But anyway I think she got a network of elves working on it , and Celene and Gaspard knows about it anyway?

+ whatever ancient elves is still walking around.

 

And I don't think Briala got all the Eluvians , she got control over a network in Orlais.

 

So it could be some city elves , ancient elves , Morrigan , ancient elven god or not etc....

Also hoping people's predictions about qunari are correct, because that sounds like the perfect adventure for my vashoth. So far I've been taking my elf rogue on all the DLC first (stabbing is fun), but Arvaarad and Dorian should have some fun too.

I'm with you. But iirc they said they'd never do an expansion like Awakenings again. The operative phrase may be 'like awakenings'.

Since Awakenings was a whole new story with very little to tie it to Origin (purposefully since there's the whole dr/us thing to contend with), that may be what they are referring to.
