Reading that article, I am almost laughing at the fact you can get blamed for taking a Keep.
Indeed. Sure, it was a little weird that you can just claim two keeps in foreign countries, but 1) they were overrun by badguys that needed to be cleared out anyway, and 2) we have a master diplomat on our staff who surely wouldn't neglect to make the necessary arrangements with the Fereldan/Orlesian crown ASAP. Right? Because if she did, that is the writers' fault and not ours. Either way, if he's so keen on that keep, he can have it -- complete with the same "Giant spider to the face!" welcoming committee that we got. I'll even tie a fancy little gift-wrap bow around her first. ![]()
I can't say I'm surprised that everyone and their grandma is turning on us. Despite the possibility of a glowing epilogue, there was foreshadowing of this in the game, not to mention the repeated comparisons to Andraste ... who was betrayed by someone close to her out of jealousy. Such a possible future has been on my Inquisitor's mind all along. Still, I too hope that choices matter and that a benevolent/merciful Inquisitor is not treated quite the same as someone who executed everyone they could and manipulated people for personal gain. And I hope that we can throw some of those accusations back in our accusers' faces. Who was it that made everything our problem? Oh right, that was all you poncy bigwigs who failed to protect your own people -- or didn't even care to try because hey, who cares about peasants anyway -- and came running to us with a million and one issues while we were already busy trying to keep the world in one piece and out of a would-be god's grasp.

Yes if you talk with Giselle, you can even tell her the compassion is scary. I'm guessing Solas is our betrayer (though I still don't see him as intentionally bad). Now some want her killed like Andraste, except she followed no Maker and was lured into this madness by a different God.
In that trailer it seems based on a sort of Default Keep state. The Keep Inquisitor is a female Rogue and so is the one in the trailer, and Viv is Divine, meaning the Mages were possibly conscripted, so I think we're seeing only one of the many ways this can turn out.

Hey guys, can you tell me if this new DLC will be the last one? I've kinda been out of the loop...

Trying not to get too pumped for the fabled 'Solas/ Qunari expansion'
Remember of all the disappointments and let-downs from previous Bioware releases and that will curb your enthusiasm

Mark said it's comparable in size to Jaws and Descent.
In any event, all the DLC has been announced with only a short window before release (Jaws was announced one day before release, and Descent one week). Mike has said they're experimenting with how they reveal content.
That sounds like it won't take long to complete at all. Although I remember feeling like Jaws of Hakkon felt like there was a lot more to it than Descent, whether there actually was or not.

That is not much, yes, even if it focused on a single thing instead of qunari and politics and the Anchor and Solas and the companions and choosing our legacy ...
As I said: no hype for me, been burned too many times. But let's hope they have truly listened to feedback and gave this protagonist a truly memorable send-off instead of repeating the base game's mistakes.

It just seems sudden and forced, but hopefully there's still many redeeming qualities to be found in Trespasser, no?

I'm very afraid the Trespasser DLC will try too hard to force the parallel between Andraste and the Inquisitor's story without justifying it enough. It seems to imply that we'll be betrayed a lot (and Andraste was said to be betrayed of her closest) but from the main game there was no hint of this at all. The lines "we saved x and they betrayed us!" made me cringe in the trailer.

I think the line was, "We saved Ferelden/Orlais and they're angry".
I doubt it will go the Ultimate Sacrifice route or even the... last night at Highever route. Everyone turning on you is probably a plot implemented by the Qunari and their spies.
Think about it. The Qunari haven't just been powering up their warriors and rogues with weapons and their serrbases with "BWWAAAAAAAAP!", they've also been infiltrating each country and gathering intel on how to take them all down from the inside once someone tells someone "it's on" again.

Oh, my Inquisitor is a devout believer ... though rather terrified of the "Herald" title and its implications, be it heresy or truth. Mother Giselle is one character whom I hope we can also talk to again, I'm sure she'd have some supportive and comforting words.
I still hope Solas won't turn out to be a full-on betrayer. While I have my issues with him, Solas-as-Solas was my #3 pick after Cole and Cass, and I'd hate to see Solas-as-Fen'Harel completely wreck that, as if the bonds he forged among the Inquisition meant nothing.

"The other big feature – and I know this comes a little late – we finally added a wardrobe to you bedroom in Skyhold so you can choose from about a dozen different outfits for your casual wear as you make your way around the castle" http://www.gameinfor...n-pax-2015.aspx
I think I had a small orgasm.
Wondering how many of those outfits are bald.. ha ha... no?

This doesn't work so well if the last time you feel like they let you down was the Neverwinter Nights OC. I am going to spend the next ten days twitching.
(Well, twitching and trying to finish my Pillars of Eternity run. I managed to get through The Descent before Shadowrun: Hong Kong came out, and through Hong Kong before Pillars of Eternity: The White March came out, now I just have to get through The White March before Trespasser. Who needs sleep?)

That GameInformer article confirms that Solas' storyline won't be resolved in this DLC.
If you’ve seen the ending, you know Solas is a special circumstance. I’m not going to promise that he rejoins the party and things are great, but he will make an appearance. I know people are excited about that. Solas remains an exceedingly complicated and enmeshed character in the world. In the course of the DLC, we’re not going to wrap up his storyline – that’s just way too complicated. But we can add a lot of texture and information to it, so it isn’t just this one note of confusion. Instead, it’s an opportunity to learn more about his situation in a way that we may be able to explore in future games. If there are future games.
Also the DA twitter account confirmed that the DLC is only £$15, same price as the others.

Anyone know when the patch with the Golden Nug and new Wardrobe comes out?
Well, a patch usually has to drop before the DLC comes out (that's been the pattern). So, with the DLC dropping on Tuesday, September 8th, I would conclude we'll get the patch on Monday, Sept. 7th

Oh man, that quote does not bode well. Gives me flashbacks to Witch Hunt. Solas is gonna show up for all of two minutes, give a bunch of "cryptic" non-answers about how there's something really important he has to do because a great conflict is coming or some crap, but be sure to buy DA4 because we totally won't pull this same thing again. And I don't think it's safe to say they "learned their lessons" from the previous DLCs, just because even if there were lessons to be learned, it's not like they're developing this new DLC in the time between now and 9/8. It's most likely already done outside of a bit of beta testing and last-minute bug fixing, and has been for some time...there would not have been enough time for them to incorporate feedback from previous DLCs.
