I think this last DLC will be story heavy and maybe ten hours long. That should be long enough to flood us with information.

I'm with you. But iirc they said they'd never do an expansion like Awakenings again. The operative phrase may be 'like awakenings'.

Since Awakenings was a whole new story with very little to tie it to Origin (purposefully since there's the whole dr/us thing to contend with), that may be what they are referring to.

Yeah, I agree - Awakening was a completely different story in a new area with primarily different companions. I can see why Bioware wanted to get away from doing that again, because it was unwieldy and in my opinion not totally successful. New content could be broad in scope but be more tied to the main plot and/or use the same companions, and it would indeed be different from Awakening in pretty significant ways.

I also think the difference between an expansion and a large DLC is mainly semantics. They aren't exactly the same thing, but there's really no clear dividing line where content stops being one thing and starts being the other. So even calling it a DLC and not an expansion doesn't by itself give us a clear picture of what they have in mind. Assuming it's either one, of course. :)

Trying really hard not to get hyped but really... what else could it be?!

EDIT: What time does the stream start in UK BST o'clock?

There's a time zone converter on the main post.

I'm in France and it's 1:30 am for me so I think it should be 00:30 am for you.

Agreed. Hell it can techically be both since we are all going to be downloading it.

At this point I think expansion can be considered a larger scale story than what we've seen thus far. If we were to 'clock' it (and I hate this) I'd say taking the average player 15-20 hrs would be an 'expansion'. Along with seriously advancing the main storyline (BG 2 comes to mind).

They should upload a past broadcast, so you can just go to Twitch.Tv/Pax/Profile/past_broadcasts

Then, you can just look for the DA Panel one, which will be the most recent. That's my plan anyway. It SAYS it starts Half 12 my time, but what'll probably happen is it'll actually start half 1, due to some time conversion bs. So I'll just go to sleep if that happens, wake up, then watch the past broadcast before coming onto the forums

I'll settle for the epic trailer they'll be showing off.  :D *fingers crossed*

At this point I've given up all hope of holding on to any amount of caution. There's one more dlc, I am sure of that. As its likely the last one, we know it'll at least have all the new tavern songs.

We also know that there's a new area, and something something eluvian (s).

Its gonna be big, you guys. Expansion or not, it's gonna be big.

Really hope this final DLC is going to be story/lore-centric, not exploration-based. The latter is fine as long as the former is present in large quantity, but that's probably being overly idealistic. Just give me some quality story and lore, BioWare, it's why I play your games.

Also, looking forward to this, too..

Greg Rucka invades the Dragon Age universe! I love what he did with Wonder Woman, which shows he's got a great touch for the mythic. He'll do well by the franchise.

That's my new plan as well lol! Going to grab something alcoholic to drink and enjoy the stream. I'll need the alcohol to help me get to sleep after the stream buzz!

Apart from the DLC announcement, I'm looking forward to the part where they discuss the future of the Dragon Age universe. They've set themselves up perfect with Dragon Age. They've stayed in one location mainly, making mentions of events and what not of other locations, but we've never SEEN those fully bloomed into existence. It's going to be incredible to see what the future areas hold for future characters.

(Still hoping I'll be able to play a Human Noble Mage in the future. Give me those Academies that the Tevinter Mages go to! *_*)

Guess we're in the same zone. I'm happy it's on a weekend night at least. If it'd been on a work day there's no way I'd be able to catch it. Now I only need to be able to keep myself from falling asleep. I'm just going to rely on caffeine.

And given all the plot lines they continue to set up in DA I and its DLC the games can go almost anywhere.

Time: 4:30pm - 5:30pm PST

PDT, not PST.  Thankfully, the link you provide correctly says PDT, but if people don't click on that and just assume they need to mentally adjust another hour because it says PST there, they are going to miss it.

Yeah same here. But I don't need caffeine at all to stay up. I've never drank a coffee in my life, lol.
