I'm too jaded to get hyped by marketing hot air anymore, but I'm cautiously optimistic that between the qunari wanting us dead, the Anchor acting up and old "allies" about to wash their hands off us (two years? that's actually more than I'd have expected from politicians), this could be a nicely protagonist-focused story ... if they pull it off. And yes, awesome outburst from the voice actor there. Now let me actually talk to all the companions, let them demonstrate their friendship and support, and let this truly be story-focused instead of 95% hack'n'slash ...

 

Good to see Cassandra in uniform, by the way. Inquisition's plot sadly more or less ignored her existence after she made us Inquisitor, aside from pitching her as a possible Divine. If she plays more of a role again, as acknowledged part of the leadership or Divine, or both, I'll be happy.

 

Though if this is the last DLC already, I guess there's no more hope for a companion-focused, everyone-coming-together-in-friendship kind of DLC like the much-lauded Citadel one for ME3. That's a bit sad, because more companion interaction, especially with Cole and Cassandra, was my #1 wish overall.

I wonder if the Qunari alliance will cost you with the nobles of Orlais and Ferelden. Or if you sided with the Chargers, will that cost you? If so, then maybe people who didn't bother with the quest will be blamed for letting the red lyrium shipment through. And what about people who didn't recruit The Iron Bull?

So... that alliance thing... with the Qunari...

I get kind of Venatori-ish vibes from the Qunari in the trailer. As in, maybe they secretly have official sanction, but in a way that the triumvirate can wash their hands of if things don't work out.

Or in the 2 years since the alliance happened, anti-Saarebas extremists happened to get into power. The alliance was a rare show of peace that happened because the Qunari needed to stop Cory AND because the Qunari leaders happened to be unusually reasonable at the time AND to test Hissrad's loyalty. Any of those factors change, and it could dissolve right away.

There are also countries involved, maybe Orlais makes a show of aggression. Maybe Tevinter or Nevarra pulls in its alliance with the Inquisition when fighting off Qunari. Any number of things could happen which the Inquisition lacks direct control over, but would get us pulled into the mess regardless.

I say all this as someone that chose the alliance.

I'm curious how the interactions will be different since if you allied with them you became Basalit-an. I wonder if they'll have more respect towards you while they try to fulfill the demands of the Qun.

Hopefully. It was good to see a close-up of each of them, and everyone coming together for this is a good sign too ... IF, as I said, they actually pull this off.

It's beautiful. Feel sorry for the team at PAX though. All that hard work setting up for a big reveal and it's been leaked, completely sucking the wind from their sales (edit: should have been *sails* as I doubt this will anything but increase *sales*.). Still, it's got me so excited I'm not sure what to do with myself.

How would that suck wind form the sales? The leak happened a few hours before proper announcement anyway... If anything, it only made people even more hyped, IMO.

I think she uses a different set of them, it seem there are various keys to unlock them. Now if Briala is in power can she help with an army of elven assassins?
