DAMP certainly is coming to 10 month soon since the release. So based on some developments such as old-gen console support drop, patch program drop. consolidation of MP forums does the one year anniversary spell end of the line? They said support will be longer that ME3MP, so how long is that? Sulaco made a prediction and the next DLC/Patch may be the end

what do you think?

Sounds about right.  Looking at their track record up to now, they basically replicated what they did in me3:

- new difficulty

- new faction

- new map

- new kits

- new gear

The only thing they haven't done yet:  hazard maps.  I'm guessing this will be the last dlc / patch.

Acid rain in Ferelden Castle

Dense fog in Tevinter Ruins

Swarm of bees in Orlesian Chateau

The support was stored in the off topic forum and they took that out behind the barn.  I wouldn't hold your breath on anything new at all.

With no hard data to back this up I think DAMP has been a huge disappointment for them.  After ME3MP I think they felt they had a big winner in the waiting long term.  Some bad miss steps early on and what looks like not enough of a commitment to the product from early on.

The old platform problem and a new game engine that appears to stink for mp have been tough to over come.

Support may come to an end but I don't see my gaming on DAMP ending anytime soon.

When the Friday Twitch stops that'll be a sign of declining support.

I would predict support will continue until at least 2nd Quarter 2016.  Trust me, I was only 2 days out on DragonRacer's SHoK.  Breakjohn will probably guess Q3 2016 and be right instead

BioWare told Destructoid that they plan to support Dragon Age: Inquisition’s four-player mode “far beyond Mass Effect 3”.

this was always a 2nd part the real game is the single player.  They may make another like this as the main but this is just an add on.

Before ME3MP, they said they would be giving it 1 year of support, meaning DLC, patches and events. And they did it for exactly 365 days.

They said they would be supporting DAMP for much longer.

They said that they planned to support DAMP longer, but IIRC that was pre release.

Meaning that it was before the post launch bug phase. And man, that wasn't your ordinary post launch bug phase. That was some serious sh... stuff.

I'd exspect 2,5/3 more months of support, mayyyybe 4. Prob 1 more big DLC and afterwards they'll the assets from the next SP DLC to DAMP.

If they made a new game mode (Castle defense please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!), they could call it a wrap after that, and I would still be supremely happy.  A new game mode will basically wipe out all the hard feelings / frustration I've had with this game since launch.  It would even make DAMP superior to ME3.  In fact, a new game mode would make DAMP Bioware's best multiplayer game ever.

Please, a new game mode.  Please.

Only needs about another 12 characters and 6 maps and it should keep me busy until ME Andromeda comes out. Go for it Bioware, one last big MP DLC, please.

Low player numbers, drop of support of last gen, consolidation of forums and radio silence from devs seems to point to this being over.

We haven't even had a response to all of the bugs that have suddenly popped up since 1,09 and this latest patch was just a patch, not even a DLC pack like Dragon Slayer.

ME3MP was supported for a couple years (as far as patching/ balancing/ new content being added) wasn't it? DAIMP will likely lose support on the new consoles and pc long before the two year anniversary.

Id like to see that castle mode, and at least another 2-5 characters.

A human mage-killer type character (his dialogue would reflect his profession when the group comes across caster units).

A qunari mage. Preferably female cause flirty lines with Katari, Tamar or Rion would be cool.

An elven warrior. Initially i though Fenris, however that young Dalish warrior you can recruit would also suffice. Prob a sword and shield user as we already have three 2 handers.

Personally I think bioware need to support DAIMP for longer than ME3, even if it's just to the end of this year, for reputation sake alone, because if we look at how the company's rep suffered with the ending of ME3 & then the problems with last gen support, breaking this promise well will severely damage bioware's reputation, some critics will most likely say that that they can't keep promises & how would their customers feel? Would they still trust the company?

Just my opinion.

Enough people will still buy their games to turn a profit.

Companies don't care anymore because they still make money.

Companies don't need to support anything they don't want to anymore.

That said, I hope they "choose" to keep supporting DAMP regardless.

I live in the real world though. It appears many of you do not.

Just people being hopeful. Nothing wrong with that.

Personally, I'll be surprised if we even get another map or a warrior and mage to go with Pala.

Agreed but funny and sad seeing people post and creating new threads as if this game came out last month and there is a million projects the dev's want to handle.

Based on gameplay trends, I'm guessing Dragon Age: Kingdoms of Amalur.

As long as it has a tac cam that locks in close enough to see the hi-res dandruff on the characters, and can't move over pebbles, then it will still probably win GotY. Oh, wait.

I hope they take a page out of ME3MP's book and almost double the characters when they decide to pull the plug.
