Hi - I have some free time now and I would like to try and create new animations for the game.

Problem is that I don't enough talent to create basic standing (idile) and walking animations in 3d max to help me start off doing it.

Ironicly - I still can make nice fighting animations that are a little twisted in the joint area (I guess if you create nwn2 animation you know what I mean) as I can't see an actual image when editing - only tiny skeleton lines..

If someone has 3ds max 8 files of just standing, idle, walking animations (that are usable and nice looking) I could really start working on movments for them and give alot of new material..

If someone can help it would be great :)

I was going to do something similar but could never get expotron to work for me. If you can PM me the file names you're looking for, I might be able to wrangle them up for you.

Expotron is not something you make "work".

You open 3ds max 8 after puting the expotron and granny files in place as seen here:

http://neverwinterva...acter-animation

then you import the human skeleton with nwn2 format (this is what expotron lets you do) and start working on the anaimations..

then you export your new animation with export (this is done by choosing granny in export). everytthing is in the file I linked you to. If you have Q's just ask

And I don't need file names - You can't edit existing animations in nwn2 only create new.. I was asking if someone had already existing animaions in 3d max format..

Not sure what's in it, but there are some Character Animation Toolkit rigs (a plugin of some kind for 3ds Max) set up for the NWN2 races, available from someone here...

I'd love it if you could find something!

Yup. In theory it should be cake. In practice, I can't get the dialog for exporting Granny files to come up in my 3ds 8. I appear to have something badly borked.
