Is it possible to get the unique (purple) versions from perilous, or only nightmare? I have gotten blue versions from perilous but only 1 purple so far (the bow) but I wasn't sure if I got it from perilous or nightmare, and I really want the silencer but have had the blue version in my inventory since last week with no luck. I've been trying to run nightmares but I rarely find a group, and when I do it usually ends up with some level 1 trying to get carried (Speaking of which I don't know who was with me last night that let the level 1 play through 4 stages, entering the face right away each time, only to agree with the other 2 to boot him, but only once he got to see the Dragon and thought he was in the clear. You sir are a cruel man, and I love it).
Anyways, just wondering if I should even bother running perilous and risk gaining other blue 26 weapons, to further expand my loot pool, if there's no chance of getting a purple version anyways.
PS. Before anyone mentions it, yes I've gotten plenty of highland dirks from the nightmare Dragon.

I got my lvl 26 purple maul from a perilous dragon today, so I'm pretty sure perilous will suffice. I have no idea about the drop rate though.

I got the purple dagger from a perilous dragon, but have no idea if the likelihood of getting one increases on nightmare or not. Strangely, I've also gotten a purple staff out of a store chest and the purple sword out of a perilous treasure room. So hey you don't need to fight dragons at all if RNG is kind to you!

Ok that's good to know, I had no idea you could get them out of chests though, I thought they only came from dragons and only if you've got the blue version in your inventory.

The epic 26 items are supposed to drop from NM dragon only according to the dev posts, but apparently not so atm. There is one 26 epic that can drop from chests, Kingfisher's, but that's it. It's a staff. That's the only one that can drop from chests atm. All the other ones (Silencer, Valos, Isana's, etc.) drop from dragon after having the blue versions.
Tldr: Yes the 26 epics can drop from perilous dragon atm (seems to be a bug). KINGFISHER'S IS A STAFF THAT IS ALSO 26 AND ONLY COMES FROM CHESTS. IT IS NOT RELATED TO THE BLUES IN ANY WAY, IT'S JUST AN ITEM THAT HAPPENS TO BE 26.

Yeah Kingfisher is only from chests. The epic 26 from dragon is Isana's, which procs chain lightning.

Perilous and Nightmare dragons. There have been reports that people have gotten them out of store chests as well.

Just did 4 nightmare runs, nothing above a level 5 weapon, unless you count the cool down amulet I got from a chest. Me thinks that nightmare has lower chances of dropping a usable item then perilous. Through the eye test that is.

The thing about the blue versions dropping first also seems not to be working properly. I got the Silencer from a NM dragon without having had the blue version before (I was watching out for the blue version, didn't salvage it accidentally).
What are the other epic lvl26 weapons? Are they good?

Don't feel to bad, since patch 9 was released, I've done 40ish NM and 50 Perilous FC. As of right now I have only gotten 1 level 26 rare and the unique to go along with it.
I haven't seen any notes about the drop rate for these items, but from personal experience, it isn't high.
