So after staring at this astratium for a while I tried to see how my first attempt at it would go. After a while I could tell I was almost done, and on my first try too, but when I completed it, nothing happened. I double checked and triple checked with the image in the bottom right and it was exactly the same.

 

So I tried it again and this time following a youtube video on it, doing exactly every move, and I still got nothing after finishing it.

 

This is the first time it's happened to me with any astratium in 2 playthroughs. Is this a common occurrence?

Where your cursor is and immediately down to the left, the stars are connected. (I know it can be hard to see)

these things cause me soooo much pain, dont matter how many play through's i do an how many times i do them, i always forget how i did them

Simplest advice is start and end on odd number node stars

What exactly do you mean by "odd number node starts"?

Essentially if you look at the pic in OPs pic, there are 2 stars that have an odd number of connections (3 a piece in this case).

 

On the right middle and down to the left of where the cursor is. This means this has to be the beginning and end point.
