- "BioWare want to tell "very contemporary stories" with the game, but in a world "as big as and imaginative" as the studio's previous work in sci-fi and fantasy. It will be a "clean-sheet design" starting from "the most fundamental principles you can have", said BioWare talking heads in the video. "We're trying to build a fictional world that feels real."

Conceptual Prototype Photos/Pictures

 

Hm... I scanned through them and guess what? What's wong with the pictures? Here is Bio trumpeting the wonderful graphic capabilities of FB3 and they show us washed out water paintings as conceptual real world snapshots? Hell, even DAI graphics are super better than this.

 

OK, maybe I misunderstood Bio's meaning about Real World IP. They certainly been tight lipped about it.

The quality of this video is not very good. This one is better still not perfect. (I mean compare Andromeda in this video vs the E3 trailer this year)

Yah I think that screenshot is from C&C. The "secret" IP that this thread is talking about is not Shadow Realms either, and the video shown in the thread is not from Shadow Realms. The "secret" IP is being mainly worked on in the Edmonton Studio, Shadow Realms was being worked on by Austin.

This gives me terrible flashbacks to ME2-3 designers deciding to prioritize sex appeal over sense in their character designs...  :wacko:

 

Hm.

 

Well, allow me to say this:

 

1. I never worked on Mass Effect.

 

2. My "that's not very sexy" comments had nothing to do with characters at all, but with mission design. Missions/quests can be sexy, too, and they don't even need bikinis. Well, not always.

Things the Sekrit New IP has:

 

1. A shed-thing of some kind.

 

2. Barrels. (Are they explosive? Are they full of spiders? We just don't know.)

 

3. Many attractive trees.

 

4. 'Fun'.

 

Well, clearly we can now pack up the thread because we know everything important. Time to start avoiding spoilers until release day!

So how is this different from just tweeting random words and sentences?

I can do that too:

Twitter can also be used to communicate to other coworkers who may be aware of what is going on ;)

Totally agree with this 100%, just seems kinda strange a handful are all switching in a short timespan. Could totally just be timing at BioWare or other companies or a mix of both. *shrugs*

Things are a lot more publicized these days, but the attrition is not much higher than it normally has been. 

 

Way back you would get information when someone like Peter Moleaux left because he was basically the face of the company. 5 years ago for example the director of my department left, but outside of the people here, I am sure no one even knew about it. That being said if they had announced it then it would be part of this allusion that the entire company is leaving.
