I think it's when the writers check each others' work and make sure it all fits together.

Based on my clear command of story logic, I fear @BioMaryKirby will fly across the table and actually strike me when she reads my stuff.
Aww man! I've never struck fear into anybody before! This is awesome!
Welcome to the dark side!

Might have broke the build with my grammarz. Have taken a series of screenshots to save my work today like any experienced AAA developer.

How did it become Friday in the Writers' Pit on a Monday?
I put together a 1gig presentation and broke the network drive! #ProducerPower
They won't want to hype it too much before Mass Effect: Andromeda, but I think we might get at least a name and a basic description at E3. I mean, if it's coming out next year they need to give us time to want it.
I'm not convinced that it is necessary to give people 'time to want it'.
I agree with Bethesda's Pete Hines' 'rule of one E3' (a 5 month launch worked perfectly well for them).
MEA will have been at three E3s, and I don't think that has the slightest impact.
IF the Secret IP will be launching holidays 2017, there would be no necessity to sharing anything prior to E3 2017.
I still think 2018 is more likely.
I strongly disagree with that rule. I'd rather follow a game during its development, so the earlier the announcement the better.I agree with Bethesda's Pete Hines' 'rule of one E3' (a 5 month launch worked perfectly well for them).

DAO's is an excellent model to follow. BioWare announced that in 2004, 5 years before they released it.
Some news: I must sadly announce that, after 17 years, today is my last day at BioWare. I'll miss my team, and wish everyone here the best.
@davidgaider best of luck Dave. We'll miss you!!
I'm sad that @davidgaider is leaving BioWare, he'll be greatly missed! Rest assured that development on #BioWare's New IP continues unabated

huh.
Is there a job opening?
Since I presume that he wouldn't leave in the middle of writing for the new IP, can we then assume that the bulk of the writing is complete? Or at least the parts (characters, bacground details, whatever they are) that he was responsible for.
Ohh godd.. i'm falling in love with the Mass Effect soundtrack.
I would assume so. I wonder if they knew he was leaving when they transferred him. It's always seemed to me that the area he truly shines in is crafting a nuanced setting.Since I presume that he wouldn't leave in the middle of writing for the new IP, can we then assume that the bulk of the writing is complete? @JayWatamaniuk Why are you setting the bar so high? We're writers, not ACROBATS, for pity's sake!

@BioMaryKirby I ask a lot. I give a lot. #Lerleen #Jambaxter
It's only taken about 6 months but we're "almost" settled on the name for BioWare's new IP #GameDevChallenges

WOO!
I'm so excited for this! I'm craving to hear more about it - even just basic information to tide me over. Genre of storytelling? ("Contemporary" doesn't tell me much.) Gameplay mechanics? (We can't assume it's another single-player RPG, but I'm hoping it is...) And yes, the title would be nice!
AAA games are so expensive to make that it feels like it's become super rare to see anyone try something not already part of a franchise. I can understand that from a business standpoint, but I want new things to love!
