"Extremely Mild" for them is, well... still a frozen hell.
That said, it's good to know that our company's inexplicable need to keep all the outside doors open is having a positive impact on Canadian climate. :)

That's the current temperature. It's night.

And at -8°C you don't even need to do up your coat.

I've never experienced anything lower than 5C, I'm pretty sure -8C would cause my balls to retract far enough to play substitute for my missing tonsils.

Currently -11°C here (in the states).

I've got 4 feet of snow here that I shoveled the other week that refuses to melt.

This winter is too damn long.

I'M READY FOR E3 AND EA PLAY.

-8c in Canada in winter is nothing. With how our bodies can adjust, its enough for a pretty light coat as long as you're not out for long. Frozen Hell isn't just exaggeration, its a whole other level of wrong.

-10s... okay, certainly, and -20s is terrible (but really only happens when you factor in windchill) and indeed more like a frozen hell. But -1s is.. whatever. Its nothing. It means snow exists and doesn't melt, that wind is cold instead of comfortable, and that you can't just sit out for hours without being bundled up a little.

More accurate to say that its on the colder side of weather for half the year, but the frozen hellscape status is really just for a few months tops. Dec-March at most, Jan-Feb at minimum. Yeah Feb definitely counts but this is, at least here in Ottawa, a damn nice year for us.  Too bad I'm seeing lows of *-29* (WAIT WTF IS THAT RIGHT??) for this weekend. We were spoiled for Dec and Jan... I'm glad I don't pay separate for heating at home...

A traditional Edmonton winter would feature daytime high temperatures in the -20s, with windchill considerably colder. I went for a 90 minute walk on a frozen creek with a -34° windchill (air temperature was -26°) just last winter, but that was only a brief cold snap.

I really love your videos, and this time is a good point of the situation.  :)

Only one thing: could be possible for you to put subtitles in your videos? I can understand mostly of what you say, but since my english is not good as I'd like, sometimes I can't understand some words, and I have to see the video few times to get everything (and youtube's auto subs are terrible). Just a little feedback that came to my mind while seeing the video.

Aww thank you! I've thought about the community sub contribution... but I've not heard great things. If there's any questions you have feel free to drop em' down in the comments! I'll message you my script.

I was dumb. -30s with windchill here in Ottawa and I couldn't even go outside without freezing my face off within an hour. Getting a bit better now and we went to Winterfest.

I suppose it's possible Bioware Austin is developing another IP, one that's specifically a MMORPG. Or they're developing the online component for the new IP.

Wrong team.

Is it now? I recall Mike Laidlaw travelling to Austin not so long ago for some work-related reasons. Austin is also responsible for "Descent" - a DLC that appears to have been developed to test possibility of different teams working on pieces of content developed mainly in a different studio. There's been some talk on Twitch (from Aug 14th) that I remember about the team working on their new methodologies of working across studios.

Therefore it is not beyond the realm of possibility that Austin does stuff for either for Edmonton or Montreal now.

Its a weird talent of mine :D If you ask me about close relative's phone number chances are I'd be unable to give it to you without peeking on my phone, but obscure facts and mentions (from dev tweets and book excerpts to scientific findings Iv'e read about 2 years ago) latch to my brain like ticks ;)

You are a mean and terrible person.

(When Sekrit New IP is announced/released, I am going to look back at the first twenty pages of this thread and see if we guessed anything correctly. It's so hard to speculate based on 'this game has some kind of shed and some barrels, also pretty trees'!)
