Mass Effect soccer.
Mako Racing or GTFO.
Totally agree with this 100%, just seems kinda strange a handful are all switching in a short timespan. Could totally just be timing at BioWare or other companies or a mix of both. *shrugs*
Things are a lot more publicized these days, but the attrition is not much higher than it normally has been.
Way back you would get information when someone like Peter Moleaux left because he was basically the face of the company. 5 years ago for example the director of my department left, but outside of the people here, I am sure no one even knew about it. That being said if they had announced it then it would be part of this allusion that the entire company is leaving.

Good to hear it's normal, still sad to see good folks go tho :/
I'm not so surprised. I mean, I assume this IP has been in the works in some form since the Edmonton team wrapped up Mass Effect 3 DLC, so this has been worked on in some form for quite awhile."...we do have a new IP coming next year"
- Next year?? If they're talking about this, then that is coming... surprisingly soon. I wouldn't have expect this out until 2018.
I know we should wish our lives away, but I kinda want it to be E3 NOW. ![]()

Still, wouldn't expect it until holidays 2017.
Though from the tweets, it didn't sound like the writing for it began in earnest until summer last year, despite the tech demo the year before.
But I agree, I wouldn't expect it before late next year...

Yeah I saw this line and thought it might've been the new IP.
Trying to wrack my brain and think of which other studios could possibly be working on a new universe, since most of the non-Bioware and non-sport ones are doing Star Wars stuff.
Wow. That'd be sooooon. I was thinking like 2018. Maybe LATE 2017 could work, but wow.

It's been in development in some form or another since Sept 2012 (or earlier!), so even if it did come out in 2017 that would be, like, five years. I don't think it's that far-fetched, to be honest.
Might be that refered to actual dialogue, additional fleshing out of characters and lore, but the broad strokes of the whole game had already been worked out, in which case they would have plenty of time to work on art assets, music, and build locations.Though from the tweets, it didn't sound like the writing for it began in earnest until summer last year, despite the tech demo the year before.

Hmm. Could see it then. It's just we've heard so little about it that it feels not as far along in development.
First Off: I love you guys. Just amazingly awesome and especially being able to to tie tweets together so I get full effect. Thank you.
And who knows - because this is essentially an "introduction game" it may be easier to work with/set up? I mean, I can see DAI taking really long because they had to check the lore, make sure it ties together with previous information given or offer a reason as to why it is different.
This is also coming from a sugar high induced by Pineapples and Pineapple Juice. I just came running because my email was blowing up from this board.
I think it might actually be harder because they're making all new lore and have to make sure it's all internally consistent. And they have to introduce a whole new franchise.First Off: I love you guys. Just amazingly awesome and especially being able to to tie tweets together so I get full effect. Thank you.

I was thinking that originally, but imagine their Dragon Age fans... they study and pour over anything to get some background or lore so fact checking and all of that seems like it would be much harder. Yes it is new lore, but once the ball is rolling, you essentially have a lot more freedom. Or at least that is how it usually is when I hear others who write talk about things.
With as much detail as they put into their franchises, it may be 10x harder to have new lore to work with. Maybe they are used to DA info... *shrugs* All I know is I am sitting here on edge trying to see what information y'all are able to find. ![]()
