I feel these elevator messages are game related hints......BioWare likes to do stuff like that, drop obscure hints and then laugh and tell us all about it after the real info comes out. 'Yesterday you said Tomorrow'....yes a time travel game......yes indeed....(rubbing hands together)

Alas. Today was spent trying to open and edit documents. It was not a day for such complex things.

Reviewing the many excellent 'How To' docs by @BioMaryKirby and @bbattye on writing stuff for #secretIP
I dont' have a Twitter, or want one, but is this thread essentially just copy pasting from there so it's just as good?

Yes

LOL
There is an IGN News fella that think he knows the name of the secret IP.

Anyone looked at EA's Investor Day presentation, this past May? There is a slide that shows Bio under the Action genre.
My bet is that the new secret IP is an action game.
To summarize what little I know (old news):
1. looks stunning
2. In playable state
3. has online components (multiplayer?)
4. 2017 release date
Speculation
1. An EA PLAY reveal in 2017
2. Darrah teased us with a pic on tweet and asked if we played a Dragon Age Tactics game. Interesting 'cause it's a new IP and should have no connections to other Bio games. An Xcom clone?... a DA Xcom clone? Remember that slide says Bio is an action game studio.

Frankly, I think he said it in jest. Joe Skrebels, IGN's UK News Editor.

A time travel game on a mountain following a cat with a hat (and nikes?) who only speaks in rhyme, you mean.

Mass Effect.
Twists and turns, it's a game based on time tunnel! Yay!

^ The enthusiasm affected my mouse's scrolling wheel...
The BioWare forums are where I truly became “a fan”. It’s where I was able to interact with other fans, share ideas, be kept informed on game development, and form a deeper love with BioWare products. I’ll put it this way: without the forums having been there, there probably wouldn’t be a BioFan today. I’m very disappointed in the decision to close down the forums. Sure there are other social media platforms for fans, but none that quite offered the same level of organized development information or longer-term common interest discussion. If fans wanted to get together to share their love/ideas/theories/etc for a character (like Cullen for example) the forums offered a great venue to discuss the character over a longer period of time. The forums served, for many, as an easy medium to navigate and learn details about upcoming games they were interested in. Other social media outlets offer this, but in a much more limited or time sensitive manner. While the developers themselves may not visit the forums often, it is a well-used venue for the BioWare community.
Hrungr, do you think you could create a /r/biowaretweets? That'd serve as a new home for this?

I was pregnant with my son when I was bored at work one day and decided to come out of lurk and start posting on the Bioboards. My kid is going to turn 14 this October. Bioware was one of the developers I enjoyed, but becoming a part of their community, and interacting with employees really made me become a super fan. Part of my identity became being a Bioware game fan, and it's at least partly because of being a forum rat. This really does feel like I'm being kicked out of my favorite club. ![]()
Nowadays, I mostly lurk in the various twitter threads, but I'm here pretty much every day. Thanks for your dedication, and to Hrungr and everyone else who have been making these forums useful and fun since the devs abandoned ship.
So, I was super excited for when this title would get formally announced and we could all laugh about and discuss our earlier predictions. It was going to be the first Bioware title I followed from start to finish.
Even though my enthusiasm has dropped so low it's right next to f****** dinosaur bones (s/o to Mr. Plinkett) I want to say I enjoyed posting with you all ![]()
