Okay, so Im wrapping up Western Approach. Had all shards collected, companion quests completed, and Griffon Wing Keep safely under Inquisition's control. All that's left to do is main story quest in the region. That's when I ran into the dreaded "Disappearing Servis" bug at the end of "The Trouble with Darkspawn". I can't find this guy anywhere around the Echo Back Canyon ruins where the quest marker is. Based on my google searches, this bug has been around since launch and has so far survived all patches. It looks like my only real option is to load an earlier save but that would cost me several hours of gameplay and some pretty nice loot that I have found. (I have the terrible habit habit of relying on autosaves) I am thinking of just letting this quest go undone. Is it essential? Or should I just suck it up and reload that earlier save?

I too would like to know the answer to this question. I have gone back so many times and tried to look for him. I have let it go and continued with the other quests. I'm guessing that I'm towards the end and it is driving me insane that I can not finish this quest! HAHALOL! Another problem I am having now is collecting the last Ventori Tome so that I can complete the WAY OF THE RIFT MAGE...seams to be another bug as well. I love this game, but these two bugs are really making it impossible to enjoy. I have had to walk away from it for almost two months....I am not a quitter and so I'm back and determined to work thru it.

I went ahead and decided to move on. I'm missing out on an agent by doing so but now I'm approaching endgame and I really don't think I missed much. I still even got the achievement for getting 10 agents in a playthrough. I will however, be sure to save before doing that mission on future playthroughs.
