What is that wombo combo people are talking about ? I need something to those combo quickly, I can't play much right now, I just got two dragon weapons out of a 2000 gold chest, I'm kind of happy :3

Don't feel bad, I've been playing for several months and I had no idea what the hell a Wombo Combo was either until I googled it.
Turns out it was something I had already been doing, so that worked out.

Didn't think I was going to get this one as playing pugs only meant most people didn't seem to be doing the weekend challenge! I finally played some games with someone who actually did the cross class combo's so managed to finally finish it up! If they do combo's again hope it's one you can do yourself as that would be way easier. Guess we'll see what's up for this weekend....long one here in North America so maybe extra time?

But... you could finish this challenge solo. Templar with Wrath of Heaven + Spell Purge or Alchemist with Flask of Frost + Shadow Strike being examples.

I'm on PS3 so don't know if that has anything to do with it. Someday I'll have a PS4 but might be closer to the release of the next Mass Effect. Wish the price would come down.

Cross-class =/= basic single-class combos (sleep + precision, or stunned + impact, or frozen + eldritch)

From what I remember Shield Bash is impact detonator. With Wrath of Heaven it creates basic combo, which wasn't counted during this challenge.
So basically I didn't really understand what was needed even though I goggled combos! Oh well guess I should have read here first and asked questions. Well I managed to get it done with another player I used winters grasp and they double fanged and that got the job done...well I'm assuming that's what worked ....I just kept casting and something worked. Might have been dumb luck in the end that I got this done at all. 
Yeah to sum up, each class has an associated Primer and an associated Detonator.
Rogues:
Prime: Sleep
Detonate: Precision
Mages:
Prime: Freeze/paralyze
Detonate: Eldritch
Warriors:
Prime: Stun
Detonate: Impact
If you prime and detonate with the same "class" it only counts as a 'basic combo'. (I.E.: Wrath of Heaven + Shield bash, Freeze + Dispel, Sleeping power + Twin Fangs)
If you Prime and Detonate with Dissimilar class abilities you get a 'cross-class combo'. (I.E.: Pommel Strike + Mind blast = weakened combo, Sleeping powder + mighty blow = rupture, Winter's Grasp + Longshot = Shatter)
Some classes have two abilities that are cross class and those are the kinds that make it easy for you to solo the challenge.

Stone fist detonates freeze, stun and paralyze, immolate detonates sleeping
I played with a necro who used the character thank you button a lot -- realized it was whenever someone else on the team used an impact or precision detonator -- so that was cool. Because I had already done my challenge solo, though, it was hard to get my detonator in synch with when she'd use the primer. None of us were mic'd up.

yeah, learned that the hard way too. did this with my alt char first, not realizing I could do my own combos, and this took close to 10 games...
when I did the challenge for my main account, playing as Ele L1 on FC, and then noticed Winter's Grasp + Stone Fist was going towards the challenge. Well damn... "cross class" had me thinking, between two different classes, rather than the powers. lesson learned.

You used a mage primer (freeze) while your friend used a rogue detonator (precision). So, cross-class.
