Question: is there a way to add a spell, which is unavailable for any class via normal character level-up, to one's list of memorized spells? So that as a result of a plot point a wizards can get a spell no one else can have? I guess I could just add it as a feat, but I really want to be a memorized spell... Anyone?

I suppose you could create a generic null spell then script the behavior at casting time. But wouldn't it be easier just to use a scroll?

Well... not really. I'd really like to have that character have that spell memorized - once make it available for wizards/sorcerers in spells.2da everyone can learn it without the scroll, if I make them unavailable, wizards won't be able to memorize them.

I'm thinking about heavy a modification of the druid class... that might do the trick.

If its a PC or a known npc you can create a script that checks if it is them that cast the spell - if not it won't work. this way others could choose it but not use it..

Yeah, I actually thought about it, but that would be a real pain in the ass for other players... Like they would read the description of the spell, decide it's cool, pick it and then in the middle of the combat it would just say "Sorry, you can't cast that. You have to be Donald Trump to do it".

I'm sure you can force items to be used only by one specific race or class, but I'm not sure how it works for custom races and classes.

It works - but that doesn't help. What I need is one character being able to memorize spells that other can't. Right now I kinda abandoned that idea - however I was close by modifying the bard class into basically second sorcerer. He can't learn scrolls, but I can make him gain spells a normal sorcerer can't (by simply editing bards spells in spells.2da).
