Some dialogue in the latest DLC made me think that dwarves might have an unusually long lifespan relative to humans. Is there any lore that that says anything about dwarves' lifespans?

IIRC DAO established it was comparable to humans, maybe a tiny bit longer.

Sha-Brytol's extended lifespan was related to their lyrium infused armor and because they often drank the blood of the Titan, also a war table mission seems to suggest that the Titan could be able to bring dwarves back to life, since someone stole Renn's corpse at the time the tunnel to the manantial crumbled.

Not really. The Ortan records state that the last name was from 400 years ago, while Orta recognizes her great-grandmother's name on it.

You'd have to figure that if her great-grandmother was on there, at best the name might go back 120 years. And that's with our current lifespans in the world today. For a world like Thedas and a society that's always at the edge of the Darkspawn, bring it down a fair chunk.

That could just be the writer's being bad at numbers. Master Illen's father from the starting PC's Dalish clan was around for the fall of the Dales.

True. Writers are notoriously bad at math.

Yeah, like how Shale's codex erroneously mentions her as being turned into a Golem only 300 years ago, when we're told repeatedly that Golems were only produced for a seven year period during the First Blight, which makes her over 1000.

There are also lots of rewrites. Sometimes that changes the timing.

For those dwarves attacking the Inquisitor, I'd say their life expectancy is fairly short.

In LOTR, they live for about 300 years.

Everybody is the same in the DA universe. Maybe slightly longer, maybe slightly shorter but that's it.

Really? It was clear they lived a lot longer, but wow! Poor humans always getting the short end of the age stick, like in ME.

Yeah, they do. 300 to like 500. Maybe more...

Which sucks because I just remembered Stalata Negat was written by a single Shaper throughout the years of Dwarven history (the way the entry is structured is less "this is our history" and more "this is our history as it's happening right now")

I mean, Origins was pretty dang clear and then Bioware went "Weeeellllll..... let's be Mary Mary Quite Contrary about this!"
