The inquisitor is what you make them. So if they are bland, you have no one to blame but yourself. Unlike Shepard or hawke they are not predefined, and do not have a set personality.
Should we really make this thread a comparison between protagonists?
And how would i make them exactly , there is no depth in their background , unlike warden origins and Hawke we knew their family their struggle to keep the family safe and how they reached kirkwall quizzy background is only referenced, no RP options like warden ,quizzy is one dimensional , the game is tailored to a paragon inquisitor , hell punching Solas was the most aggressive act in all of the dialogues.
What if my quizzy is non Andrastian , what if was an Elf , why wouldn't he say " to hell with it am the herald of Mythal , you don't like it go punch your head in a wall" , or if he was a dwarf the same thing applies , what about dalish quizzy who's lectured by Morrigan of all about his own culture.
I didn't want to be Raven either this or this , but i wanted to roll quizzy as a strong leader who'll rule with an iron fist , alas all i could achieve is semi this semi that , and the missing chemistry between him and NPCs , he has a mass space of freedom and a lot of variance i can get to him in most of the details , yet it's all messed. No RP options is unacceptable , it's awful.
