The date is shown at the end of the trailer.
I know, but it does not seem to be mentioned elsewhere. Also, they had not put that trailer along with their announcement (on the DAI site), that's why I'm questioning the date itself.

There's no reason for it not to be a valid date. Laidlaw even said during the panel that they chose to announce it two weeks before release so people would have time to finish their game, or do a new playthrough before the dlc drops.
Meh , the whole game was a bitter experience and the bland lackluster soulless inquisitor made it more so.
I still have my origins and mighty hof , am happy.
Funny how the HoF is much more of a blank cypher than the Inquisitor. People wonder why we still get silent protagonists but the Warden proves that no spoken lines + overpowered character = enamored audience.

Ah headcanon. Is it too much to ask that my character and my romance option lived happily ever after at Skyhold? *sigh*
Yes it is: you can't tell the tale of an age of turmoil if its protagonists get to live happily ever after.

I told everyone that something was going to happen to the Inquisition. Everyone kept saying "No, Bioware wouldn't do that to the players!"
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

I doubt they're going to do that after the reception they had with ME3's ending. Maybe as an option, but no way they will force the death of the main character again.
The reception of ME3's ending was due in no small part in how many people had become too enamored with the invincible space marine from the first two episode and couldn't accept the Mass Effect series not concluding like a triumphalist power fantasy.
If there's a lesson I hope Bioware learned, it's that making the protagonist's death optional will always be a hassle when it's time to tackle the sequel: so I hope that whether the Inquisitor survives or die is a fixed event.
haha yeah its what happens if you EAT Vitaar rather than wear it lolSteroids. LOTS of steroids. POSSIBLY why they are so angry...though I REALLY hope they don't get the Ogre Grab and Punch skill. THAT was always a pain in the butt...or, rather, the face. I saw Dawn of the Seeker, btw...Cass was an Ogre killing psycho...so was that just a tall tale, or did she spend the next decade or two being scowling and stabbing books instead of training?
It MIGHT explain her disdain for Varric, who happens to be an author...or was HE the one who told the tale Dawn of the Seeker?
The fact that it's been almost a year and Laidlaw says they haven't been greenlit doesn't bode well.
If memory serves, Dragon Age 2 was announced right after Witch Hunt's release
So the current lack of announcement is not unusual
I bet the only way to let the inquisition keep "face" is to sacrifice your pc, an if you dont sacrifice him/her it be all bad
Be right depressing if that the case tbh, getting right bored with the only "right" outcome is you dying
That looks exceptionnal. Can't wait to see what is holds story wise.
Also, it seems that the Inquisition as an entity is challenged and I love that. They saved the world, hold tons on powers, what does the exsisting powers make of that now that the visible threat/haze of victory is gone? "How long before you drag us into an other one." It feels like the Inq are the bird of an evil omen like Shep was and I like that (also, it will be interesting to see them freak out, they deserved it)
This will be intense.
Excited by this DLC. I haven't bothered with the descent but might whack it out before this one now. This is the DLC we were waiting for! Finally!!!
I hope we don't have to fight Solas though V__V I love that bald elf, c'mon team up and kill the qunari.

This is why Hawke should have been forced to die in the Fade and the Warden should have died killing the Archdemon. By allowing for choice here, they create a lot of narrative problems.
Nah, that would've sucked. And in Origins, how would this even work? Alistair just drops dead, and Loghain dies in the Joining? Terrific!
omg. I was squealing all over the place when I saw the trailer. Finally, the quizzie is voicing my thoughts!
The Qunari is a threat? What em, i worked with the Qun and sacrificed the Charges...
This is what people get for trusting the fanatical oxmen. It doesn't matter what you do for them. If the Qun demands that they turn on you, that's exactly what they'll do.
Anyway, I'm super stoked for this, though I hope the Inquisitor's fate isn't some railroaded nonsense in the end. Unlike some around these parts, I don't give a nug's scrotum about having past protags show up in future games.
Well, that looks promising. It's just too bad that "status quo is king" appears to be the rule of the day again, and that nothing the Inquisition has done will have any permanent effects. As great as this looks as a story, one does wonder if it's worth fighting if we're set up to fail by the writers. Again.
Mimics the real world to a T, ignoramuses when it comes to history and doomed to constantly repeat it.
My main thought upon seeing this trailer was "Thank the Maker that Orlais and Ferelden see that the Inquisition is a parasite on Southern Thedas. Hopefully at the end of the DLC we'll be able to put it down for good."
Funny. If memory serves, my Inquisitor blackmailed some parasites to work together in Orlais after their stupid scuffle got tons of people killed, had to rescue yet another group of parasites from yet another group of parasites out of Tevinter in Redcliffe, had to purge an ancient parasite, yet again from Tevinter, and then had to mop up all of their stupid messes because they're all a-holes who should have been left to lie in the beds they sh@t on.
Isn't Qunari invasion too big event for DLC? I always imagined it as being something big and difficult to resolve, so maybe big part of main plot for another DA. but DLC?

is it an invasion or are they just attacking the inquisition? seeing as the other places, ferelden and oralais - dont seem to give a crap.
Wait...How? Seriously, you're being way to picky here.
When something feels truly forced and contrived and the characters react very seriously and emotionally to it, it becomes cringeworthy. I'm sure the DLC itself will possibly change my view, but from the trailer I don't buy that "ferelden and orlais are ungrateful" just so suddenly after the events of Inquisition, but I digress, because Inquisition already had plenty of problems like confusion of what we're trying to fight, contrived reason why mages and templars can be used to stop the breach, a terribly superficial "game" in Orlais and etc. It was all part of this power fantasy though, where, once you'd helped certain factions they seemed very supportive. Now in this DLC it's suddenly a hamfisted story about how the entire world is against the Inquisitor? It makes me cringe, that's for sure.

More than likely, it's tied to the anchor and the Qunari's whole thing about magic, not all of Thedas.
Well... I'm now ridiculously hyped.
Edit: Oh god, i just realised how little time there actually is till this comes out - must do more play-throughs! My mage obsession mean that I've actually only properly finished the game with three mages. My elf obsession means that two of them were Dalish. Time to dust of some warriors and make me a shiny new Qunari rogue
So who and what are the Qunari? I don't believe them coming from another continent, i think they are a breed of Elves and Dragons. A mistake from the times of Arlathan. Horns of dragons and ears of elves.
We know that something happen with the kossith that gave birth to the qunari race before they left (most likely had to do with dragon blood), Cory also says that "Your race is a mistake!" to an inquisitor qunari.
Taking bets on whether this is like Witch Hunt and Solas appears at the end for like, 5 minutes...
He'll say the thing about the questions, you say "hell yeah", he says "okay, come with me for the answers", you step through the mirror together and that was the last we ever saw of the Inquisitor. Roll credits.

When I saw that 'stop the qunari thread' I automatically remembered that qunari invasion could occur, so I automatically assumed this is that invasion. Now it seems even to me, that it is more likely some smaller problem, but it could also lead to that invasion. maybe this DLC is preparing the ground for the future events that could happen for example in DA4.
These guys aren't a proper invasion, they're a professional hit team after the Inquisitor (the Qunari in the trailer)
I'm sticking to this story, bahaha

Basically, they are like a bunch of toddlers who can't stop messing themselves and cry when you don't do exactly what they want you to. Remember when Optimus Prime bailed, and let humanity see what happens when the Autobots aren't around? Thinkin' maybe Orlais needs a little of that...try solving your own problems!
Oh wait, THAT is how the Civil War in Orlais started...silly me... ![]()
