If the collective incompetence at the helms of Orlais and Ferelden dares to question my Inquisitor, I want to be able to go Colonel Jessep on them.

"I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said thank you, and went on your way".

Oh wow I haven't even thought about the delicious irony of these clowns being the ones judging the Inquisitor. Let's see, the Ferelden various head honchos allowed a Tevinter magister to waltz in and basically take over an entire administrative section of the country without so much as a "hey..." aaand the less said about the overall Orlesian governing efficiency and priority management, the better. I can see why it took as long as two whole years for the realization of what the Inquisition is, what it does and how it operates to finally sink in. "The Inquisition does what? Oh it actually does stuff about stuff? Where? And how long has this been going on, again? Shouldn't we do something about it? How does the magic 8 ball say we should proceed? Ask again later. Dammit. Okay, here we go - arbitrage. Sure, let's roll with that. Somebody bring me some entry-level employee to yell at and/or fire."

No wonder the Inquisitor is angry.

Could be Ben Hassrath?

Thing is the big guy looks like a Saarebas and Saarebas have to follow an Arvaarad (sort of Qunari templar)...

It's possible Arvaarad are part of the priesthood and not the army?

So you could see women in this role?

Arvaarad's job is to hunt Tal-Vashoth and leash mages.

Arvaarad was commanded by Arishok in DA2, which makes him a part of Antaam, not a Ben-Hassrath (or some other organization governed by Ariqun).

And the whole transsexual thing that Bull explained doesn't work here, because it's obvious that a woman is attacking the Inquisitor in this scene, not a transsexual female).

It seems a little weird to me.

I mean, of course the Sten's "women don't fight" thing has to be taken with a grain of salt, since we've known about Tallis - so my guess is that he meant that women can't be soldiers (and soldier is what Grey Warden is basically, hence his suprise) - but leading an attack on the Inquisition is abviously Antaam's job, and I'm quite certain the Qun forbids women to be a part of military.

Awakening has a way of reminding people of its existence:

Ah yes. "Awakening" Anders, we have dismissed that claim. :P

Really though, Anders is an entirely different person in 2 than he was in Awakening, if I don't want Awakening to exist I just headcanon Anders found Justice while fleeing from the templars and merging was his only protection against them. No need for Awakening to take place! Yay!

And if all else fails...

Tallis's job isn't necessarily to fight: Fighting is just something that happens as a result of her job. I remember another comment Sten made that women would fight to defend their homes if someone was about to butcher them.

That doesn't mean they won't do that Aqun-Athlok crap. She might not be one (she might, for example, be a judge, which sounds like a woman's role in the Qun), but I worry that they'll force this retcon on us.

Solas will then give the Inquisitor three choices. S/he can either choose to have Solas perform a ritual to turn everyone into a Qunari, s/he can have him use the ritual to kill all the Qunari, or he will summon the spirit of Koslun and bide him to him/her therefor making the Inquisitor the new supreme leader of the Qunari.

Choose well...

Dude, how a gender dress is base on culture. Does the qunari even have a change of close based on gender?

Also, nothing says their aren't any Ben-hasserith the uses Sarrabas.

pfff such a bait.

I'm not going to fall for it after the "Descant" DLC and its trailer.

I'll humbly wait for other paying beta testers to check it out and on the holidays I'll pick it up for 5$ when it's on sale.

It's been a while, but isn't that a quote from a character who's trying to cover up their instigation of a crime by lying to ensure their subordinates are held solely responsible for it?

Why is this so close to the release of the decent? I just started it last night. Another female to show this off again. Well done BioWare.

There is no strengthening of alliances with the qunari, because their terms are entirely one-sided.

I admit to being surprised that Trespasser is going to be the final single-player dlc for Inquisition. I was hoping for at least another; simply to follow up on so many events from the main campaign. I imagine that elements of this content will set up some of what comes next, whether they want to seemingly play coy about the highly likely DA4 or not.

So the Eluvians are going to be featured heavily and a Qunari force as antagonists will be interesting again. For the first time since his famous post-credit scene and based solely upon his brief inclusion & dialogue snippet in this trailer, I suspect that Solas may actually have displaced Flemeth/Mythal as a franchise MacGuffin (whether or not she truly died, remains to be seen).

I'm curious to see what world state options Bioware has included for us to determine the ultimate fate of our Inquisition? Given that we are moving two years ahead into the storyline, I suppose that the Divine's coronation has already occurred. Pity, as that was a dlc unto itself that I had expected to be made available. I enjoyed Jaws of Hakkon and The Descent equally well, and if nothing else the various elements of Inquisition certainly followed a unique path and - at least to me - added much to the overall lore of Thedas.

Rather than speculate over how I interpret the events alluded to in the trailer, I will say that the Golden Nug idea sounds great and giving us a diverse set of attire for Skyhold will be fantastic. Hopefully some of the previously unrestored sections of our fortress will be repaired in the new patch as well; I mean two years into their history and surely they've tidied up?

There's no alliance with Qunari.

There can only be submission to the Qun.

I hope we have the potential to go full-evil in this dlc.

I mean seriously? You're putting the people who saved the world no less than four times on trial?

And don't shout that it's "realistic". BS ungratefulness and backstabbing is still BS and I hope the Inquisitor can respond appropriately.

I don't think they're putting her on trial.  They're just reacting to her trying to get them to ally go to war with the Qunari.

That sounds reasonable.  Of course now that I think about it the revelation that Felicia Day exists makes Sten's confusion at the existence of females who fight with swords a bit odd.  Although I suppose if the Warden was strangely knowledgeable about Qunari ways she could have responded by saying, "Yes, I'm a female, but a Gray Warden is not a member of the military."

And sadly, I may not hear it in game. Evidently the wording is altered dependent upon locale and/ or language, and to avoid the replacing obscenity, will need to select another option.

But I do like her presentation; makes me fear for Conal and his bucket....

Yeah, at least this DLC will have the best line of dialogue (even though the word she used was "f***ing" :). Edit: that was apparently location dependent, should have guessed.)

As it should be primitive human,

we will bring civilization and "our" democracy to Thedas, that is the demand of the Qun
