What do you mean "how would it work"? It already does work that way, except there's also several ways out of it. Those options should be removed. The Warden's continued existence is a narrative problem.

It's only a problem to people who are fixated on the character. But it seems to me that removing even the option to keep Alistair around to the end doesn't even make sense. Like, does he just die? How and why? A better solution would simply be to curb the amount of options for the ending, namely the ability to become king or queen. The status as a Warden should have blocked that option out.

That anger is what I want to see from the inquisitor wiped the all like mongols wiped all who opposed them let the world see the power of the inquisition let them all burn and let them all bow to the might of the inquisitor.

And it seems to be optional, thankfully.

He'll say the thing about the questions, you say "hell yeah", he says "okay, come with me for the answers", you step through the mirror together and that was the last we ever saw of the Inquisitor. Roll credits.

*shrug* My Solas-romancing Lavellan would probably be perfectly fine with that.

Perhaps the Dragon is Morrigan or Flemeth. It could even be that a Mage Inquisitor who drank from the well of Sorrows learned to transform...

Possibly. Though having read other people's comments and observations, it seems that it may be a bound dragon controlled by the Qunari.

Believe GamerMD mentioned that the Dragon may be accessorized much the same as the Qunari leader; another Shifter perhaps?

The only possible response to this hostility from both Ferelden and Orlais.

But what if the Inquisitor is really a spiritual imprint of some random stuck and dead in the Fade?

Would ascending to the Fade via Eluvian be going home?

Cool. I'll do that.

This is very unlikely. The Qunari are extremely Magic phobic. Their Mages are leashed, collared and have absolutely no training and would be incapable of Binding anything, least of all a Dragon. I also seriously doubt they would turn to other Mages to do it for them. I did notice however that the Saarbas in the trailer still had his horns intact. Sarrbas horns are cropped to signify to other Qunari that they are dangerous. I also couldn't help but notice that they had no issues with using Eluvians which are Magical objects.

I could see more worldly followers of the Qun such as Talis or those that hail from Rivain overlooking that detail of their ideology in favor of the significant military applications but not the more militant Qunari from Seheron or Par Vollen. Perhaps these Qunari are different in some way, more worldly or from Rivain but the trailer made it seem as if the only reason they are going after the Inquisitor is because of the Magic of the Anchor.

Perhaps they find their task more important.

As for the dragon, it has shorn horns and the qunari binding, so I'm willing to believe it's bound to them.

Perhaps these qunari are reavers?

More important than conquering a continent? Interesting idea. There's certainly more to the story. I'll concede that the Dragon is associated with the Qunari in some way but the Qunari using Magic to bind her to their will would be an unprecedented display of Magical skill and tolerance. I find the fact that they have no issues using the Eluvians surprising.

I imagine it's a matter of whether or not it's magic they're confident they can keep under control. Like, the Arvaarad uses a magical control rod to keep the Saarebas leashed, whereas the Inquisitor has this unknown ancient magic that can do who the heck knows and is basically a key to the Fade.

I can accept that. Isn't Vitaar Magical in some way? Binding a Dragon with Magic, which is no simple thing if that's even the case, and using Magical portals that until recently didn't work, lead to unknown possibly decaying locations and that the world at large didn't know existed are pushing the confidence factor especially in the context of how the Qunari view and treat Magic.

I wonder if it will be possible to equate the Mark killing the Inquisitor with Andraste's pyre and having him walk into it with his head held high.

I hope so.

What is amusing about the mark is it always felt odd that the mark slowly killing her was swept to the side after the first stabilization, yet never comes up ever again, even when Cory decided to do his last stand. I'm happy they are bringing back the marks ill effects on her, it was wasted potential in the main game.

Um, it was explained by the servant in your quarters when you wake up from closing the rift under the Breach. Closing it stabilized both the Breach, causing it to quit spreading, and it did the same to your mark.

Bah. I sure hope they don't try to make the Inquisitor become Andraste Christ 2.0.

Oh nice, Inquisition ends the way I would have liked.

Also cool that this is it and the next thing from Bioware will be something else, no more ME/DA. A brilliant decade for the company.

You  didn't close it, you stabilized it at the prologue, which went out the window the minute Cory opened it completely to the point it almost swallowed the world, yet not only did it do nothing to her, she was able to completely master it and open a rift in someone.

Morrigan's faithful to warden , and it's not like Quizzy could handle her "rituals".

 The next Mass Effect launches next year and they've said they want to make five DA games -- though obviously there's nothing about that yet since it's so early.

Those events are entire game apart, but you do close the Breach during In Your Heart Shall Burn. It's closed from then until he reopens it at the end.

Lack of gratitude from those who were saved? Classic reaction. I am looking forward to this release. If it actually ties the story line of the Inquisitor up nicely, so much the better.

yeah so am I I'm postponing my next Inquisition playthrough till this comes out. Would be awesome if Hawke turned up again she knows how to slay Qunari :P

yeah leaving you to close it a second time when you kill Corypheus or send him int o the Fade or whatever. I can see why the Inquiswitor's upset though I would be too having risked my life to do what she and they did. I asy she as all my Quizzies have been female so far although my next one will be male.

I figured it would end up some mix (ratio depending on choices) of Andraste, Ameridan, and maybe more.

Not outright full savior figure but still quite open to reverence, at least compared to the last Inquisitor.
