This is getting old. ... starting at lvl 0 then going up that's the cap do why am I hitting it on nm in a non glitch lobby obviously. A keeper a arcane a reaver and my lvl 1 lego hitv the cap that's apparently higher than we can achieve. Not the first time this has happened either. Thanks for breaking something else with a fix.

I was simply trying to allude to the (seemingly) fact that the MP team doesn't care that it's possible to earn more XP than the game will allow you to keep. It's a ridiculous situation that absolutely should be remedied, though I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't since it could very well be deemed as "not a big deal".

It's a bit ridiculous yes.

 

Before the cap was introduced, and before any glitched lobby, it was perfectly possible to get from level 1 to 13 on Fereldan Castle. In rare cases, you could even get to level 14 with the right party.

 

But hey, Bioware told us to trust their math. There is absolutely NO WAY we could ever get more than the cap on any map and/or difficulty...

Yea, I hit the xp cap on SP. I was like level 27 killing something level 3 or so and wasn't getting xp. I couldn't figure out why. Maybe I shouldn't be getting xp? Too bad the last dlc has been announced or I would complain. I would complain.

well lets see people cheated and doubled xp  I had several players pass me on the leader board  now because of their higher promotes they have all the hakkens 

I have been waiting for the punishment. never happened. why didn't they just make em all double xp till it was fixed?

a cap was an easy solution to a big problem, it just a^&$&*% GAME. I got upset because I like the game and didnt want to cheat but it appears thats ok with BIOWARE because nothing was done and it appears nothing will be. except the xp cap. sad but its not bioware's fault, except the no punishment, it still comes down to those who cheated and those of us who watched them do it. me included.  

so you now dont get an extra promotion its better than watching more low promotes rocket past me some more.

Thanks again bioware for supporting those of us who said that cheating is not gonna be how we play(sarcasm definitely intended).

I am not as upset at going from level one to whatever level as much as not gaining a level on perilous from 19 to 20.

Just made an account to post here, I was the Reaver on this run and I did not know these guys. Yes what he says is true, this is a game and there are bugs, however is still a fun game that's being constantly updated.

 

I've never joined a group that had so many promotions combined (ie played it forever) and at the same time complained the WHOLE session about how un-playable the game was (I think I did 3 runs with them).

 

For an hour and a half they complained about everything, saying people shouldnt do nightmare unless you have 100+ promotions (not required if you are skilled and have the right gear), making fun of me because I ran nightmare with lvl 20s (Used a Reaver, Silent Sister then Elementalist). Also claiming he can run nighmares on a lvl 1 Silent Sister (Sure, might not be as efficent, but ok, what do you want? and award?), complaining about the PS3 support, and how some people should not get weapons unless they've played or looted certain items beforehand.

 

I've played the game since day one, didnt start MP untill i almost beat the SP campaing. I've taken breaks here and there (once I got the Wither 3 I beat it and didnt touch DA for 2 months).

 

The fact is not everyone has that many promotions, and the game is not only about promotions and making the leaderboard.. I have about 25 Cons/Cunn/Will.

 

If you want a game that rewards you for endless playing/farming go play WoW. if you want a game that is just skill dependent (no gear dependent) go play Guild Wards, I will keep playing DA untill I'm bored, so far I'm not.
