It amazing that the best thing I've ever posted here is two sentences long.
I got like 30+ for saying that Indoctrination Theory makes no sense with Extended Cut. My most liked entry, also two sentences
.
People like it short, it'd seem.

Maybe the problem wasn't the DLC, but the fact you weren't paying attention? The descent didn't explain exactly what a titan was, but it was fairly clear on what was going on by the end of it. The breach caused by Corypheus got the titan agitated/woke it up, causing earthquakes which were putting Orzammar's mining operations in jeopardy, killing the the guardian/boss at the end calmed it back down and stopped the quakes.
I was paying attention just fine. When my character literally says that he has more questions than he had answers at the end of the thing, that's a problem. The breach agitating the titan doesn't even made sense without an explanation. The breach is in the sky on the surface, the titan was miles and miles below the surface. And in my game I didn't go down there until after the breach was sealed and Corypheus was dead. If the breach was what was agitating it, then he should calmed afterwards, unless they provide some other explanation. But no, all we got was, it was agitated because reasons.
Interesting definition of fine.
I took a look at page one. The first response is hostile to your point. The second adds onto the first, with mockery. The third is straight-up mockery. The fourth is just plain hostile. The fifth supports you, but points out that DAI is no different from the other games in the series in this regard. The sixth rejects your argument. The seventh is neutral. The eight is hostile, and somewhat contemptuous. Replies eight and nine are contemptuous, but mostly of the way you read a calendar. Reply ten takes your position seriously enough to utterly reject it. Reply eleven is more calendar mockery. Twelve and thirteen are neutral, fourteen and fifteen are on a tangent. Sixteen and seventeen are opposed, with mockery. Eighteen more or less supports your argument. Nineteen and twenty express that your argument is silly.
That tends to happen a lot to people who critisize the game. It happens on both sides of course, there are some absolute haters that will lash out with terms like biodrone. But the mockery definetly seems to be more on the side of those who like the game and for some odd reason believe that it has no flaws. For evidence towards that I point you towards the Drinkquisition.
I ran out of likes! Games that dull your imagination tend to be rather dull =)
Good point, trouble was, DA:I did that to me a lot with it's huge pretty areas filled with boring fetch quests. It's hard to inspire the imagination when most of your content lacks inspiration.

Yeah, that's a shame, because the Indoctrination Theory would have been so freaking incredible if it had been true. I would have happily payed money for DLC that revealed that truth.
Well good thing this DLC is coming in september and not in Oct, or Nov. Finally release this DLC so that DAI can end and we can look forward to MEA and the new IP.
DAI will be a thing of the past and I bet DA4 will be nothing like DAI in terms of style. DA4 will have more cutscenes, less filler content, more interesting protagonist, and better villan. The exact opposite of DAI. Also it wont have the older consoles holding it back.
I hope your right man, I really, really do. I don't want to give up on this franchise yet.

Well, I don't really think that the majority of us in the BDF believes the game to be flawless. I doubt that such a thing exists in the real world. I most certainly don't belive that. However, the pros do outweigh the cons for me.

Well I can see that, if you focus on the fetching (which the areas are not filled with). There are however other things to do and explore.

Yeah, they really are filled with the fetching. Sure, there are things to explore, lots of pretty things to look at. But things to do? Not really. Not a whole lot that's any kind of fun. And certainly not anything that was at all meaningful, outside of the companion quests. Even things that seem good at first, like the frozen ruins or whatever they were called, were not at all meaningful, because all you do is run in there, kill a bunch of things, read a few notes, close a rift, collect substandard loot, and your done. Wash, rinse, and repeat for the next thing. Which is a shame because those ruins had a lot of potential.
I never said the majority of fans are the sort that think the game is flawless, just that the most mockery comes from that sort. Believe me...that sort does exist. Just as the sort exists on the other side that will call people who defend the game Biodrones and what not.
Oh, and please don't use terms like BDF in reference to my posts, I have never called anyone a Biodrone, or called them a part of the Bioware Defense Force. Even though I have been called a hater, a whiner, a troll, and other more insulting things.

I think if BioWare changes anything (assuming there IS a DA4) I think they will do what they always do and take criticism to the extreme. People complained about the tiny, reused maps in DA2 so they made them huge, unique, and empty for DA:I. People complained about losing at every turn in ME3, even in the end you never beat your enemy so in DA:I they did the opposite where you always win with little to no challenge or setbacks. They looked at the success of Skyrim and tried to emulate it without knowing what people actually liked about Bethesda games and in the process they neglected the things they've always been good at (story, companions, interesting NPCs and sidequests, interesting lore and world-building, etc...). With BioWare there can be no happy medium, it's always taken to the extreme. So if you say "hey BioWare, these maps were beautiful and awesome but making so many of them meant no resources were left for characters and fun quests. Next time maybe we could still have pretty and unique maps but have less of them and use the extra resources for more substantial quests and interesting storylines/NPCs in each area?" What they hear is "we want one tiny grey room full of wacky people to talk to!" ![]()

1) The effects of the breach were felt across Thedas. Its hardly incredulous to believe something just below Ferelden/the Frostbacks and laced with lyrium wouldn't react to it.
2) No, not necessarily. No further explination required. The Breach woke it up. If something wakes you up do you automatically fall asleep again every time with out fail the very moment it goes away?
3) Well that leaves two possibilities, either you weren't paying attention which you dismissed, or you're simply dense. Because, honestly, none of this is rocket science and yet it still leaves you befuddled.
Well, believing that an argument against the game is silly isn't quite the same as believing that the game has no flaws. For instance, the standard BDF position on ME3 isn't that it makes sense, it's that the whole series never made sense in the first place. That tends to happen a lot to people who critisize the game. It happens on both sides of course, there are some absolute haters that will lash out with terms like biodrone. (I'm allowed to use that term since I think I was the third guy accused of being a member of the BDF.)
I'm just angry for Bioware in continuing main story in content that is gated away from people. Trespasser is end of DAI or so I have heard all over. And I can't buy ending for my game. Just great job Bioware.
And at the same time people have been asking for DLC that expands on the main story
Lose-lose situation

Ahh here we have the childish insults I have come to expect from those who are blindingly in love with this game. Typical, very typical, but I will still respond to you with civility despite your attempts to belittle me.
Can't really judge a titan's sleeping patterns based upon my own. Far different entities there. And the titan was hardly 'just' below the Frostbacks. It was even deeper than the deep roads and they are already miles and miles below the surface. Also, why would it suddenly be calmed after you kill it's guardian? You know, the thing that is supposed to be protecting it?
So yea, further explanation is required, maybe you don't like to find out the reasons why things are happening, but I do.
I thought the stance was more Bioware painted itself into a corner when they went the war route, so the me3 ending was them running into the sunset as quickly as possible as to leave as few tracks in the paint.
As for DAI, I happen to have a nice list of what I would have done differently, Wolven Soul. And things I didn't like, but that didn't stop me from enjoying the game for what it was.
I never said that you were one of those who believe the game to be flawless. In fact, I am not sure I have ever actually said that about any one individual person. Just that such people do exist. I have no issue with those who are able to find enjoyment, while still able to see the flaws. In fact, I envy you in a way. I wish I was not so picky at times.

Nothing wrong in that if all people have change to play it. Now they don't.

Continuing the main story is fine. That's great. But when the DLC is required for full understanding of why the next game starts the way that it does, you start to get into some really iffy ground there.

And why would next game start off with something the DLC did? Even Inquisition didn't do that

It's not like people can't buy it at any time
