Hey, folks!

I'm writing this a little in advance of PAX Prime so that it can be put up right after our panel on Saturday. Hopefully everything went well, and you've heard all about the upcoming content that will conclude our adventures together in Dragon Age: Inquisition.

Before I go into detail, let me just say thank you. This game has been a crazy ride, from the moment we decided to completely rebuild DA on the Frostbite engine to today, when so many of you have stunned us with your amazing fan creations, passion and, of course, feedback on what we did right and where we can improve should we do another. Thank you on all counts!

Coming up, our newest patch targeting the Xbox One, PS4 and PC platforms includes a couple of treats in addition to the usual fixes.

First, the Golden Nug lets you "sync" your collectibles across games after you’ve completed DA:I's main story. To take advantage of this, head to the Skyhold Undercroft post game and click the new Golden Nug statue. After you've done that once, every game that's both a) online and B) on the same platform will have a similar statue added to the Undercroft and Haven. Clicking on that statue will sync your current game. This sync is bi-directional and additive, which means that any collectibles will be added to the online collection, even if the character doing the clicking is pre-endgame. It's like new game plus...without having to start a new game.

IMAGE_01_EN.jpg

We're quite excited about this approach, since it lets you take advantage of your collection without having to restart a game already in progress. Also, each character that participates adds to your collection. The sync includes crafting schematics (including those acquired in DLC packs, as long as the packs are installed), potion recipes (but not upgrades), mounts, and Skyhold decorations.

Second, Skyhold now has a wardrobe. It comes pre-loaded with about a dozen outfits of varying colors, each carefully selected to minimize instances of plunging a spiked pauldron into your love interest's face when you kiss him or her.

IMAGE_02_EN.jpg

The default beige is still available if that's your jam, of course, but we heard loud and clear that some (okay, yes, pretty much everyone) of you wanted some variety. To find the wardrobe, head to your bedroom once the game patches.

As with all of our patch content, these features are being added for free.

Feature-1024x543.jpg Dragon Age: Inquisition Patch 10 Notes

September 2, 2015 by Sean Trayner

In Patch 10 for Dragon Age: Inquisition, our focus is on introducing fan-requested features, some base ability changes, and a number of bug fixes.

We’re happy to introduce the player wardrobe. You can now choose from a range of different outfits for your Inquisitor thanks to a wardrobe in Haven or Skyhold.

The winners of the Untold Relics of Thedas contest have been selected, and their creations placed in the game. The relics’ locations are a mystery for your Inquisitior to uncover.

Thanks to prominent Thedosian scholars and Shapers, we’ve implemented a series of gameplay adjustments, designed to customize, improve, and balance the player experience.

We’ve also added the ability for players to consolidate account bound collectibles across games with a newly added Golden Nug statue located in Skyhold and Haven. With it, you can access your herb seeds, crafting schematics, mounts, Skyhold decorations, and potion recipes across your online saves of the same platform. Just touch the statue with your post-game character to get access to this feature. The Golden Nug becomes available if one or more of the characters on your account have completed the game at least once.

Full details on new features to come.

Patch notes in other languages available here.

Hmmm, weird, potentially useful thought that I had: y'know how Cullen has those three Perks that give you a bunch of schematics?  Do ya'll think those can be synced to the Golden Nug as well?  Because if so, it seems like it would be pretty easy to leave open three perk choices, save, pick them, sync, then re-load and pick three more "useful" options.  I kinda hope that will be allowed, just because Perks are restrictive as it is, but it might be an exception.

Also, wondering if, since Trespasser is set to be the "end", and they're not doing Beta stuff (at least not on the forum) this will also be the final one?  And if so, I am really, really, really, really, really, really, really hoping they fix Ser Barris with it...

Lazarillo yes that would be a way to do it (refering to the perks) but those perks are not the best. You would be "better" served doing it with the black emporium.

Really though this is meant as "okay you beat the game, and can use this to make combat completely trival if you want to"

Can you please fix the bugged and masterworks and schematics? The most complained about problems almost never get patched(a problem since ME3), and once the support cycle is over, there's really nothing that can be done about it besides modding.

Sorry you'll have to be more specific (I didn't really deal with bugs post launch).

Such as the Masterwork Tevinter Longsword or the Split Longsword Schematics. They're bugged or their drop rate is even lower than an Ultra-Rare weapon in ME3 MP. As of today, no one on consoles has ever obtained one of the two. Tier 3 longswords are scarce. Only the Dwarven Longsword is obtainable. The MTL and SL are basically myths on consoles, and can only be obtained on PC with Cheat Engine.

EDIT: There is a Fade-Touched Gurn Hide(Tier 2) that is a bugged where any attack done on you will be 1 hitpoint, but your health is reduced to 12. So it takes 12 hits to kill you.

If something is accessible through cheating, it likely means that there is a reason they are not actually accessible in the game. I am not saying it is the case here, but sometimes content just doesnt work out and the ability to get it is removed from the game. But the actual item is kept because you generally dont want to completely throw away work.

Also unless I am missing something isn't that the description of the Fade-Touched Gurn Hide?

It is my truthful opinion, one I've been voicing since launch with consistence. I'm pretty tired of people calling my opinion trolling (everywhere not just here). I'm fine with calling me retarded, childish, attentionwhore or whatever, because I am each and all of these and more. But it is not trolling, it is what I feel and how I feel. In fact I feel a lot more hatred but since I'm tired of being banned I learned to control it a bit to avoid having to create an account each week.

Generally people who are banned do not admit they were banned in the past.

Bryan,

If it's not too forward, or giving anything away, how did these new feature feel in game? Do they integrate well?

Yah I think they integrated well, didnt really get to use that much myself. I liked the Golden Nug, because I tend to like going through combat and min/maxing so this certainly allowed me to do so.

I generally enjoy speed running through our games.

Judging from the stats, they don't have OP stats. We have Tier 4 weapons already, and so, I don't see why the two were locked away to be inaccessible. The Black Emporium DLC gives a lot of very OP schematics. Some replies from Support have said that they are obtainable by normal means, but I doubt that.

EDIT: I find it odd that the Tevinter Longsword Grip is still in the game, but not the sword schematic.

The Fade-Touched Gurn Hides that can only be obtained are Tier 3s, and those are: 30% more damage if not hit for 5 seconds, and 10% to inflict Immolate Damage at 100% Weapon Power. The Tier 2 Fade-Touched Gurn Hide was the one I mentioned that was bugged.

It isn't a matter of being OP or not, things can be cut for a large number of reasons. If there are other bugs that come up that a simple fix can not be found, then they are simply removed instead of attempting to fix it (especially if a deadline is incoming). Lets say something can not actually be unequip upon being equip for example. Then if you are 2 days before ship then you will not attempt to fix it, you will simple cut it.

I am not aware of the particular information of these items, but given I have seen this happen semi-frequent I could see this happening.

@Bryan
Hey 2 questions for you the first is does Codex Entries crossover with the GNug?And in the new patch did you fix the buggy Codex Entries and if not would it not be fixed by just adding the bugged entries to the Codex Merchants?

Hello, no as I said only the things in the blogs carry over, having codexs carry over would create an experience disadvantage, since you generally get exp from codices. Plus a lot of codex entries are controlled by plot points and have odd plots would cause all sorts of anarchy.

As for the codices the only 2 I am aware of is the "mystery" tutorial one and Alistair. The former was not fixed, the latter was.

Hello, I was wondering if the storage duplication exploit was fixed with this patch.

Also, thank you for taking time to answer these questions  :)

No

I am also not going to sit here, and answer whether something is fixed or not, youll see if it is or isn't fixed by the next patch soon enough.

The Alistair codex was fixed? I'll have to double-check that, though I think he's dead in my current pt, executed at the Landsmeet thanks to my nasty, conniving Warden (who exists only in DAK land, since I could never actually play that).

Next patch, and I dont think it is retroactive, just from now on it will work

I wish this patch was available for last gen consoles, that way all these things from my saves on the 360 would be available on my ps4.

Also, nursery seeds do not carry over?

I believe so

What happens to the mods i have installed when i update the game?

My inquisitor is going to be bald because the mod i have for long hair is deleted?

Given we dont support mods, I have no idea really, but based on the past, mods will be broken for a few days after a patch. While the mod creators fix their tools.

With this import feature, I don't suppose they thought to make the tutorial toggleable? If someone has played the game such that they have a golden nug to download schematics, they probably don't need the tutorial any more.

In future titles, please make it possible to skip the tutorial.

The tutorials are very minimal in this title, but can be considered.

"Mosaics, Nursery seeds (most likely) ... will not be included with the Golden Nug."

Awwww boo.

Poorly worded, I believe seeds are included in the syncing. Mosaics are not.

If this is the case, about the seeds, when will Deathroot seeds be un-bugged / less-gitched? In 14 DAI playthroughs I am always missing deathroot seeds, and only that, from the seed collections and it's starting to drive me a little crazy that they never "drop"... not from lack of trying to get them :(

Deathroot and Crystal Grace are not included because their models are too big

Likely wont take too long to fix the servers, probably dont need to avoid not updating. (The main reason you would need to be online is for MP, Golden Nug, Keep and Save-import from ) Given MP requires newest patch that is a non-issue, Golden Nug came with this patch so once again non issue. So really the keep/save-import is the only reason to be online which generally are not as "needed" now, unless you are starting a new game.

Also it didn't go out early (at least not in terms of days) since it was intended to come out today.

:bandit: Use the original URL linked in the thread to do a google search and look at the cached version. Some things are wrong, but you'll see the main things listed. I note that the Storage Chest exploit is listed as 'fixed'.

And that is one of the things that wasn't actually fixed. (Thus why I am saying to take the notes with a grain of salt)

So far we haven't seen it up in Europe or Japan for Sony, but should be soon

Patch is up in Europe for PC too though for me it's only about 2GB.

Patches on PC will be smaller than the consoles. (Especially if you are already patched up from the previous one)

Can you correct that in your post, Hrungr?

So it is retroactive you mean?

Yes, I loaded my post-game save from the game I met Alistair and got his codex entry.

Ah good, I couldnt remember which type of fix that I proposed that they used. So I decided to be safe and put that note in there.
