Is it possible to not install the patch without switching the internet off during the entire session? I would like to buy the Trespasser DLC next week, but I sure don't want the KE nerfed and all those other changes.

Is it me or are the mounts faster?
i noticed my character was faster while running around, the game is even smoother!!! i'm in the deep roads right now so i didn't get a chance to try mounts out, but i wouldn't be surprised if they made them faster... in fact you would probably have to since the speed for a character running has increased. man this patch is awesome....

This is how Iron Bull looks now with the armor.

This was the way the armor used to look prior to patch and the way it was advertised.

If you're on PC, switching Origin to offline mode should work.

The fact we're able to have access to all our end-game schematics at the start of a new one is insane.
My level 3 Rogue has 2x 251DPS Dual Daggers.
I actually can't wait to go to the Hinterlands and gather materials. Now I can craft decent rated armour and know the companions will survive!

Nice to see Mana Surge processing correctly now though...
I was wondering why all these enemies were freezing around me - I had to look it up!
Yep, works alittle to well now lol, had guys constantly freezing around while running through Jaw of Hakkon had no clue what was going on

I think someone said that the models have been switched in the patch. The light armor should have the old appearance.

In Origin, you can tell it not to automatically keep the game up to date.
Just be aware you'll more than likely need the latest patch for Trespasser. It seems they bundled a few Trespasser elements in there.
Patches and DLC do tie in.

The patch shortened the action time for gathering herbs and metals (the animation seems the same, but you're locked into it for a shorter period of time than before).
According to Bryan, the speed is also further affected by the herbs perk (which may only apply to gathering herbs).
That...sounds great.
The looting animation was really annoying.
Shame they didnt just ditch it entirely tho.

I think a small gathering animation is a good thing. I like that they shortened it but it would feel too MMO if they removed it entirely and you could just rush around hoovering up blood lotus.
Patch looks great, DLC looks goddamn amazing.

Yep. I have the same concern. In my current new playthrough i'v decided not to use golden nug, its to OP to have all those legendary schematics from the start and for free. Gold must retain some use after all.

Just a heads-up for those PC users who modified their inventory capacity, you might want to sell all your Valuables before applying the patch. I lost all my Valuables on 2 characters...

FYI you require this patch to play the DLC

I wonder if the patch addressed the "characters freeze during combat" bug that seems to have been introduced in a previous patch, from a time since I last played the game.
The last time I played the game everything was fine, and in my new playthrough, characters frequently freeze up during combat, and just stand there doing nothing. Switching to that character and trying to move around doesn't work either; the character won't respond to movement commands. The only thing that seems to (at least sometimes) break the freeze-up is using a talent/spell.
I've seen this happen to enemies too, now and then. Most notably in a dragon fight, the dragon froze up when it had maybe 20% health left. Sure made killing it a lot easier, but I'd rather have done it without the dragon being incapacitated by a bug.
So has this been addressed in the new patch (that I'm currently installing), or are there plans to address it soon?
Answering my own question - no, the patch didn't fix this. Just had Cassandra freeze during combat. Annoying.

Still had some on mine; sold them right after making my new robes from new schematics.

Great thing is that it does not take gold to make new stuff; only materials. And that is what limits the schematics from being too overpowered at early levels. While my Mage has access to Tier 4 schematic robes, she does not have a lot of Dragons remains from which to scavenge; just some iron and ore from a few starting locales.
The new items help a lot, but are far from being top of the line. Luv the Nug!

Noticed I got the Inquisition banner crown upon loading my game after downloading the patch. Very happy about that.
Oh, where in Haven is the nug?
Next to the area where the Inquisitor's mount appears, I believe. Near the crafting stations.
