I played the Descent twice first time clearing everything on hard , I played around 5 /6 hours.

I was kinda tired so I wanted to replay the main quest with open eyes , Played on casual , skipped the gears , mugs and codex entry ...I got maybe 1h30 of content.

So err...the main quest is fine but nothing extraordinary...you have a mystery , a bit of lore dump , a bit of drama...the ending mimics DAI Well of Sorrows quests down to reused animations.

I really feel like JOH had more meat .You had the main quest , + talk with scout Harding+ talk with the scholar + talk with avaar.A couple of side quests , finding the missing inquisition scout , the elven scholar , the avaar lady who was climbing , killing a couple of special beasts for the guy whose father is dead etc..

You still had shards but HEY this time you could get a text about the Forgotten Ones , so it was worth it.(not like the gears...urgh)

So yeah the Deep Roads...that great place where there's nothing but darkspawn , and more darkspawn oh and maybe some crazy dwarf who could be darkspawn because they just kill you on sight anyway.

i've replayed it now and got all the cogs, took me a lot less time because i knew where most of the annoying ones were. that took me about 4 hours that time. i've got one more run to do on my final character, but that can wait - i'll probably skip convos and finish it in 3 hrs, not sure i care about the cogs any more

When people asked for Power sinks, I think they mostly meant optional rewards, like for an example, filling out Inquisition Perks, rather than increasingly high costs for DLC to progress.

While such had been requested, I was pleased that another use for it had been made. And as some have mentioned, once completed, it becomes a source of income for the Inquisition.

Yeah, you are pleased with X about DAI. Thanks.

Folks whining about fixing exploits is one thing, but The Descent offers a steady IG income for that Inquisition. Worthwhile for me....
