Well - they did say there was a DA character that makes a big return I believe.
Seeing Sten - now Arishok - leading a fleet of Qunari Dreadnoughts to the coast at the very end of the DLC would be great in my opinion.

Now that would be cool. Also it would be nice to finally put to bed the argument as to who is more formidable, Sten or Bull. I mean, obviously Sten, but it'll be nice to finally see him kick Bull's backside and prove it.

I really hope not. There is already a lot of stuff crammed into a very small slice of content. What this DLC needs to give the Inquisitor and her story a memorable conclusion is a very tight focus on a few core themes. Not a repetition of the base game's mistake of throwing everything and the kitchen sink in without giving anything true depth.

Here's the thing, have we confirmed that these Qunari are actually from the Qun? Because they're making a little too free with the magic...
And again I'm reminded of the Saarabas who knew about and used the Mask of Fen Harel in Redemption.

I'm thinking no. I don't think these are from the Antaam. They could work for the Ariqun or the Arigena. I'm hoping the latter because we haven't seen much of that group yet. These saarebas look different than the others we have seen. It could be a new group, or something from the Ben-Hassrath. EVEN if they are from the Qunari, they don't appear to be anything that could be traced back to the Qunari leaders themselves. I think a few have suggested a hit squad maybe? Whoever they are, they want the Inquisitor dead, and have access to the Eluvian network.
Another thought! What if this Qunari group is FORMER Ben-Hassrath? Decided to take matters into their own hands? Like Tallis did...every time she showed up. Decided to resolve this mystical business so that the Qunari could move forward with their plans? OR...they could be the Quns version of the IMF...just sayin'...
Still, the Antaam tend to be a bit more...upfront about invasions. Like, marching armies. That is where the Arishok would be, aka Sten. He wouldn't just travel through the Eluvian for a hit. OF COURSE, when you want to make a serious incursion into foreign territory, sowing dissent and chaos really helps. If you are Basalt-an, taking you out first would be not only smart, but practically an honor. YOUR honor...um...and funeral...heh...ouch.

Rasaan the Tamassran from the comics is suppose to be next in line to be Ariqun based on WoT 2 and seems to be on good terms with the Arishok(Sten). Since two years have passed I wouldnt be surprised if she is the Ariqun by then and we see a cameo either from her or the Arishok. If this really is the start of a invasion itll make since for her spies to work with his warriors and mages to set things up for DA4

I imagine if you killed the Arishok in DA2, then our former Sten could indeed be the Arishok now.

I don't think the International Monetary Fund has kill squads and I'm pretty sure the Qun doesn't have anything we'd recognise as money

This would be cool but I can only hope Sten will return when he will be able to make a bigger impact on the game. He could still be a big deal, but being as it is the last breath of DA I I can only hope they save a reunion with Sten when more time and content could b allotted. DA4 if and when it happens needs to reintroduce a lot of characters who have gone MIA..

Sten might make an appearance, but it will probably be the next protagonist's job to put him six feet under. Being able to purge Rasaan in the DLC would be a nice trade-off.

I would like to fight Sten, but it looks like there is a female qunari fighting instead. I hope it's Rasaan, but it's probably going to be that aqun-athlok nonsense

I might be wrong, but wasn't STEN just a rank in the qunari army? I killed plenty of stens in da2.....

If it's a full on Qunari Invasion we will, if it's smaller probably not

Only DAO one that returned so far was Teagan. I HOPE Sten does, but if we didn't return his sword, wouldn't that change the Arishok?

I don't think so. This seems more like a Ben-Hassrath operation and besides, he'll probably be more needed up north.
I think it would depend on what the "invasion" entails. The invasion could be here to assassinate the Inquisitor.

Yes but our Sten returned home if you found his sword, and after the Arishok messed up in Kirkwall or was killed, he became the new Arishok.

Yes. You can ask Sten about this in DA:O. "Sten isn't your name, is it?"

Yep! They don't have names. I could see my Warden trying to name him after that lol
