A Character that appears to be a Cynic on the Outside, but in Reality values Idealism far more.
Maybe like Varric? He seems so snarky and cynical, but then we learn he's actually an Andrastian and he believes in the Inquisitor.

I want a bad-ass Asari commando as squadmate. Possibly like Wasea or Tela Vasir with an Aethyta type of humor (why Liara isn't as cool as her father) when you get to know her. On mission mostly renegade and get the job done.

That would be the right Direction, yes. Although I would not go the snarky Route, and more of the "shut-the-World-out" Route for the Facade.
I would like to have someone like T.C. McQueen. I loved that guy.

I don't mind a Zaeed or Kasumi type character, as long as their dialogue conversations reflect their individual backgrounds.

This is one of my biggest wishes as well, I think it's time to get some Asari badassery in the team.

Imagine if Jack or Morinth just decided to ditch you before the suicide mission in ME2, just because you treated them wrong
Just because?
I'd really like them attempt to write a salarian character who doesn't fit into a traditional archetype. Most salarians we've met are doctors, scientists, engineers, businessmen, diplomats - doing mentally demanding work, often technical and convoluted in nature, which doesn't require brute strength (they're basically a race of nerds). Mordin was a really detailed, and successful exploration of a character who played to type. I'd like to see a similar approach of a salarian character who doesn't fit the mould - or explores a different one. Perhaps a female salarian who couldn't - or wouldn't - have children, and ran from her homeworld, doing merc work instead?
I'd also love to see another prothean character (it's quite possible that protheans travelled over to Andromeda too) - although it'd be difficult to top Javik.

Seconded!!

Would be novel if BW could try no tropes/stereotypes (butch men, girlish women, blah) and, possibly more importantly, no anti-tropes/anti-stereotypes (butch women, girlish men, blah).
I'm a sucker for the horrible but incredibly charming type of characters, like someone who is just an awful person but has an abundance of charisma to them, not sure how well that'd work as a squad mate though probably fit an antagonist better.
I still also want to see a married squad mate as well someone who doesn't have the family drama, clearly loves their family while not revolving around it as their whole character. Could have some nice potential for fun banter too if they were married to another squad mate or NPC of some importance.
And even though its a little tropey I'd love to see a curious kind of book worm type, thirsty of knowledge keeps their mind open to what they can learn but will be foolish at times and not think of the greater risks when it comes to learning more about something they don't know much about.

Yeah, if/when we do get our asari squad member, I hope it's a more hard-edged commando type with a fair amount of humor thrown in.
Seconded!!

Someone like Kirrahe would honestly be great - if you could take a character like that, expand on it, make it interesting, give them interesting opinions, that'd be gold.
Especially if we saw them clash with a Mordin-like character, as Kirrahe and Mordin apparently did (see Mordin's first shadow broker file, it's just different variations of him calling Kirrahe an arsehole, heh).

Well I have to agree with you b/c Kirrahe was one of my favorite ME characters, and yes, I liked him more than Mordin
I like those characters who are a surprise... a soldier salarian, an intelligent and thoughtful krogan (Eve), or even a soldier quarian (the guy who "ma'am's" Tali haha).

Since every great crew in history followed that basic dynamic. The A-Team did it. Scooby Doo did it. Ghostbusters did it.
I want a female human cross between Jack and Iron Bull who is either Bi or a Lesbian. Please?
Korgan chef that does all the Cooking. Despite his people's brutishness he actually has refined taste and actually demands quality in his food. "I wouldn't serve this to my pet Varren! "
This is a really bad exaple, only Samara and Mordin are in the correct spot.
If you want to put those characters into that system you get
- Tali lawful neutral
- Miranda chaotic neutral
- Thane lawful evil/neutral
- Garrus chaotic good
- TIM chaotic evil
- Saren lawful evil
- EDI neutral good
this list pretty much addresses the inaccuracies I noted in the original post

Kirrahe is a madman.
I'd be interested in seeing a squadmate who has children.
Between DA and ME, I think we've had as many companions who were actually gods (1) as we have had companions who were parents (1).
In my life, I'd venture that I've met more people with kids than people who are actually gods.
