I just hope that Blackwall took the joining and is now a real Grey Warden.
Maybe then he is less of a dick.
I just hope that Blackwall underwent the joining and is now a real Grey Warden.
Blackwall: I... uh... yes, of course I underwent the Joining. It was certainly a harrowing experience, but... I passed with flying colors.
... they'll finally fix that massive hole in the wall next to the War Council room?
That's actually Skyhold's entrance. The big long bridge sticking out the front doesn't attach to anything.
This. ^Maybe then he is less of a dick.
Considering everything she went through to get it in the first place? I highly doubt she left it.
I get the feeling the new hub happens to be where you are when the fecal matter hits the rotary propeller.
The mental image of Morrigan trudging around Southern Thedas with the mirror always makes me laugh. I guess she must have used some kind of magic to transport it.
I doubt we will even explore Skyhold in the DLC and will get cutscenes inside it at best.
I think the beginning of the DLC will take place there. The clips of the companions in the trailer seemed to look like they were all coming back to Skyhold to help you (the entrance gate and bridge were in the background unless I'm mistaken.) So I'd imagine we'll have a moment in Skyhold where you catch up with your friends (as they said you'll learn what they've been doing for 2 years), and it may be where the new tavern songs are, which may also give insight at what's happened while we were "gone". Also, it's finally at night!
Skyhold isn't part of the DLC. Maybe there'll be a cutscene moment or two, but once you start the DLC, it locks off all the other content (including Skyhold).
Source? Not that I don't believe you, it's just that I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere else.

Well... I imagine her transforming into a dragon first. ![]()
Well... I imagine her transforming into a dragon first.
I always thought she only learned the dragon trick after drinking from the well, so it wouldn't have helped when she took the mirror from Ferelden to Orlais and then to Skyhold.
I suppose she could've used some of her other forms (a giant spider carrying a giant mirror, now that would've been a sight.)
Morrigan is now with my warden performing "rituals" if you know what i mean
.
I've been told that those were reused assets, not Skyhold. I suspect that the DLC wI'll open with the journey to Halamshiral and the Winter Palace, a new section of which will be our hub.I think the beginning of the DLC will take place there. Are we talking about same Blakwall. Because Blakwall I know is the nicest person of all companions.

I always imagined that since she had been part of Celene's court she was probably pretty wealthy on her own. Thus my headcannon has her paying a couple of Monty-Python-esque peasants who cart around the mirror with her and give her funny back-talk.

Oh, you mean before the end of the game. Well that's easy to answer. Morrigan created her eluvian in Serault, which you can learn about if you play Last Court. She then transported it (via wagon) from Serault to wherever she was in Orlais (Halamshiral?), and then to Skyhold after Wicked Eyes Wicked Hearts.
Oh yes....he's absolutely the nicest person as you put it, IF you love hypocrites who do nothing but put others down over the mistakes they make, while not acknowledging his own.Are we talking about same Blakwall. Because Blakwall I know is the nicest person of all companions.
I had a singing instructor once who said that opera fans actually love it when opera singers fail. It's not that they're constantly looking for a fail or wish they could make it happen or are not enjoying when the singer doesn't fail but instead manages exceedingly amazing feats. It's just that when it happens- in the midst of a very difficulty performance- it creates a moment where the singer looks human rather than robot. We can identify with them, feel for them, laugh despite the heavy plot or inestimably impressive abilities otherwise being displayed. And it's the exception rather than the rule.
Same for when things don't quite work in a game. Some game failures are irritating- really ought to be or to have been fixed. Others, well, they're just funny quirks. When I pass by the unfinished walls of Skyhold- right next to the War Room itself- it's just kinda funny. And endearing despite itself... 2 years or 10 years later...

Ah, ok. Anyway, the point was that she travels around with a huge mirror and it's sort of funny.

It would be hilarious if he underwent the joining and died and so is no longer available. lol.
Slight correction, I think she repaired it in Serrault, not created it.Ah, ok. Anyway, the point was that she travels around with a huge mirror and it's sort of funny.

I know you're supposed to start the mission at the war table, but the thought of ending the game on the balcony, watching the credits, then trotting back down to the war room only for you to skip 2 years and go to Halamshiral is very jarring. My girlfriend had a great idea of having you play through a few short moments during the 2-year gap, talking to various people and overseeing certain events that are important to the Inquisition (that may be referenced at the court). I don't know if they'll do anything like that, or have slides explaining what has happened (because your people telling you what happened to your Inquisition while you were in charge makes no sense), but it's a cool idea nonetheless.
Anyway, I guess I'm just confused how your version would work. The companions need to fill you in on what they've been up to, which seems to imply they were doing things without you present, which would support the idea that they would meet you back at Skyhold and tell you before heading to the court. But it's all a guessing game at this point. I just can't fathom Skyhold not even appearing at the beginning.

She arrived in Serault with nothing, labored for days in the glassworks, and then left with a large object wrapped in padded fabrics. My Marquis requested that he get a look under the tarp, and it was the eluvian. I'm positive that Morrigan created it in Serault.
Mark and Mike have both said on Twitter that the DLC is a point of no return (once you start it, you lose access to all the rest of the content) and that Skyhold isn't a location you can visit.Source? Not that I don't believe you, it's just that I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere else.

But, this isn't the thread for this, so I'll be off.
You just summed up every companion in every Bioware game.

I seriously doubt Morrigan has the ability to create an Eluvian from scratch. I distinctly recall her mentioning "repairing" when questioned.
